I wonder how much damage anime shit did to letting the tranny shit leak into the internet so hard. Japan slapping tits on a dude and calling it a woman is so common and autists love anime so much there has to be some serious relationships going on there.

It's a chicken and egg situation.

Did the sudden popularity of anime cause all the trannies, or did the trannies lead to the sudden popularity of anime?
According to Down the rabbit hole (who became a furry youtuber) furries were showing anime at conventions and were instrumental in getting it popular. Trannies didn't come along in any big way until late 2010s and anime was infecting western TV since the 60s and became very big during the 80s leading into the 90s and 2000s making anime the biggest things on the planet.

Disagree on the last part. Shitty Japanese Pornographic Cartoons weren't popular in the 80s. Even in the early 2000's people were still (rightly) ashamed of watching them and wouldn't admit it in polite conversation. It became popular just shortly before Hollywood became incapable of making anything except live action comic book movies.

Happened in games too, in fact Larian was often criticised for spreading it with their crazy-looking, anime-style armors in Divinity:Original Sin.

Yeah, look at this crazy-looking anime armor:

Hmm, not so crazy.

I’m sure anime was not commonly seen in the United States until the 2000s, but it really was popular long before elsewhere, and for good reason. The same as you don’t need to be French or Belgian to have read bandes dessinées like Tintin or Astérix.

Lipstick on a pig.
morrowind was sparse before mods as well

stapling together thousands of lines of additional code in a script extender preserves a sense of wonder that simply doesn't exist in vanilla titles. even though every single game is datamined 100% before it even comes out, god only knows what was in your copy of Elf Booba.esp

someone should make a cryptocurrency-based unregulated starfield modding platform

with the right economic incentives, some psycho would fix the entire game for the price of a Happy Meal

Starfield was supposed to be the Xbox system seller, with MS becoming a third-party publisher, SF will go down in history as the game that killed XBOX after 21 years.

Looks like this is coming to PS5 if anyone cares
Where it will land like a wet fart.

MS seem to have an amazing ability to purchase companies the moment before it becomes evident they're creatively bankrupt. I'm struggling to think of one game produced by a company after being purchased by MS that was a better game than any they made prior to being bought.

I work with Microsoft tech for a living and it is basically in their company DNA. Microsoft just sucks money out of the PC ecosystem and then sprays part of that money to random directions without much care for quality. Sometimes they get middling success like Azure or Office365 and they will heavily leverage their position to push garbage like Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Edge down everyone's throats. Their gaming strategy is perfectly aligned to this company culture: buying mediocre studios to make mediocre games to sell to clueless customers in a subscription bundle.

"Don't worry, lads, the game might have flopped on PC and Xbox but if we port it on PS5 the snoys will buy it by truckloads! The game will be a immense success!!"

Said the MS marketing guy, who came straight out of Harvard, while he was snorting coke...

So why did MS buy Activision Blizzard then? It can't be just for the shits and giggles they got out of firing 1700 employees.

I still think they should have paid 7.6 billion for the meme of it.

I'm not sure mods can fix this honestly but not for lack of trying.
The game design itself seems at odds with changing things greatly which would be required to actually fix this mess. I know Fallout 4 modding was limited in many ways that Skyrim was not and I'm curious if Starfield went down the same road.

The real value in games is in intellectual property. By acquiring Acti-Blizz they have now accumulated a massive library of entertainment IP, probably now only third behind Disney and Warner Bros. Hardware sales will be a comparative drop in the bucket in, say, 20 years.

Nope, not true, even Phil said this during a interview months before it's release:

"There is no world where Starfield's an 11 out of 10 and people start selling their PS5s. That's not gonna happen."

MS pretty much knows Bugthesda is a mess, in fact now the latest rumor is that the push for multiplat came from Zenimax. They also seem pissed cuz they're not receiving bonuses anymore for masterworks like Starfield or Redfall, that's why the rats like Peter Hines, are leaving the ship.
