You can still pre-order it here: http://harebrained-schemes.com/shadowrun/shadowrun-returns-pre-order/

They have some small goodies and stuff if you are into that.

I can't seem to find an explanation about where they're releasing it. Is it going to be just on their own site or is it also going to be on GoG, Steam, or where ever similiar at launch?

I ASSUME GOG or STEAM (just like us backers). But I don't know 100% for sure. They really should mention that on there.

They'll probably have to go through the Greenlight process, which means that they won't be able to guarentee Steam until enough people vote for it. Shouldn't be a problem though - this is looking to be one of the kickstarters that I won't regret backing after the post-pledge euphoria wore off.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Also, there's going to be a Berlin expansion.

And I bet if it sells well enough, they're going to add a third city. That would be great.

Shadowrun Returns DLC: Berlin Campaign (release date TBD)
Shadowrun Returns’ first major Downloadable Content release will be set in Berlin, a city of corporate domination and anarchy, fighting to rise above the devastation of the EuroWars. In addition to an entirely new story to experience, this campaign setting will include all of the Editor components you’ll need to create your own stories set in Berlin.

It's included in the Collector's Edition pre-order, and in the pledge tiers that had it as a bonus.

The second city was one of the stretch goals of the KS campaign and intended for the main game, but they had to push it back to DLC.

Looks great indeed. It's only missing some inidication of the initiative order.
It seemed like they could choose which character to move in whatever order they pleased, though I could have just been misinterpreting what was going on.

It's really rather impressive that this is only alpha footage. I suppose the animations could use a bit of work, but the gameplay systems themselves seem very solid, and I'm liking the art style.

The combat part with the drone and the elemental in the middle part of the video was really good.

Wait why is Berlin DLC. Wasn't it a stretch goal for the original game? Anyone got the news post where it was turned into DLC?

Yeah looks like initiative is only rolled for each team.

The "Berlin DLC" will be free for all those who have pledged the kickstarter.
So not a DLC for me :smug:
It was decided to release Berlin part later (time constraint).

I see. Well I backed via paypal during the kickstarter campaign so I hope that makes me eligible for the Berlin DLC :keepmyjewgold:.

But I'll buy it anyway if I ain't :takemyjewgold:.

I did not think I would love it so much. I didn't back it on KS. Some pictures lately looked good. Now after seeing combat and skills all made really well I will probably have to preorder.

I wonder what mr. Weissman would think about seeing all these pages (from this thread and the other in CRPG Discussion) of pure nerd ejaculation.

It wouldn't surprise me if he reads it. He seems really into what he's doing, which is admirable.

It's looking nice, although I'm a little bit disapointed with:

- A game for touch screen devices: the interface, the map design (very large rooms with tiny objects in the middle making it look naked but making it easier to use with touch screens, for example), no tooltips.
- No inventory system (?), no loot, bodies disappear
- Magic effects are weak (bad graphics, bad animations)

I'm still looking forward to it, but it feels like a mobile/tablet game a little bit too much for my taste.
