Ain't there a prison architect sequel for you to play yet?

What would a prison architect sequel be? Probation Officer Simulator?

"...to build something the industry has never seen before" impressive how quick they are to suck their own dick and how accurate it is, truly never fucking seen, at all.

The relentless cope of the most hardcore blueprint collectors after this gets cancelled is going to be truly unprecedented, that’s for sure.

Turbulent (dev studio) joins CIG. CIG is at 1100+ employees now. Up from 900 a year ago.

Features such as our Concierge program, Issue Council, Telemetry system, Community Hub, Galactapedia, Roadmap, award-winning StarMap, and Spectrum social network are some of the public-facing elements that Turbulent built.
"Award-winning StarMap", what sort of awards are they talking about? Their custom bug tracker and forum software is not known for being all that great.

I suspect that Turbulent was already mostly servicing CIG.

Even though what these guys are doing is an age-old scam, I'd say in a way they created a brand-new industry. And an incredibly lucrative one at that.

Star Map? So how is the progress towards promised 100 star systems going? Are they still at 1?

Still at one.
Systems count is the best indictation of how delusional fans and developers of Star Citizen are.
They increased fidelity of that one system to insane levels, nothing really can compare to it, nor Elite nor No Mans Sky.
And they took couple of years for it.
How can you expect to fullfill your promise if you don't plan to develop this thing for at least a century?

Not to mention that incredible fidelity still consists of like 3 space stations and a cardboard cutout city with a few hubs. Wow!

If you are in just for a walk, they are not that small, but nothing really happens.
Rest of the competitors are even worse in fidelity with their procedural generated vomit, but they have functioning galaxies.

Yeah, they're not that small, but 95% of that is just set dressing - it's not even, say, Cyberpunk levels of "city simulation". It's not GTA, it's not Skyrim, the large open world is pointless as there's nothing to do but LARP. NPCs don't offer meaningful interaction, there's no meaningful schedules, there's basically nothing going for it to justify all the talk of fidelity. That's kinda my issue with it - yeah, it's there, yeah, it's large, but... so what? There's nothing to do with all that.

Granted, other space sims don't have this, however, if it's implemented just as empty eyecandy, why have it, even?

Ah, yes, when Chris hooks up ChatGPT, every NPC will be its own unique entity you could spend forever talking to, I guess.

Be patient, it's on the #TODO list, this is just an alphaaaaa...

Welp next ISC is about hull munching. I didn't expect them to go straight into it after releasing hull scraping.
Due to this patch cargo rework going online half of third part of salvaging was added in form of parts stripping.

So with hull munching being done next patch or next next patch that Salvaging mostly done waiting only for components rework that is to be released somewhere this year.

That's record time for CIG to feature complete a system.

Feels like PES was major block for them. Suddenly major gameplay features started happening one after another. Cargo refactor being released same patch as hull scraping.

Them highlighting a new feature in their marketing videos doesn't mean anything.

Case in point:

They pitched salvaging for seven years. Yet once they released it even committed citizens admit that it is extremely underwhelming and borderline broken from a gameplay perspective (they nerfed the salvaging payouts about 1 month since they started selling the salvage JPEGs - the exact time that they provide refunds for JPEGs).

ISC is Inside Star Citizen kind of a show that runs every thursday that they present upcoming changes but not too far off ones.

Stuff like Citizencon etc. are where they present high ticket changes coming in XXXXXX years.

That's not true, the video above references their regular marketing videos, not only they annual con.

That account has many other similar examples:

It's fair to say they talk about features/gameplay in their marketing videos that likely have no real intent of releasing.

Another example:

Even hardcore star citizen fan admit that VR is not happening.
