Imagine the butthurt if some 12 year old hacks your account and steals your firstborn's college money worth in ships. Blowout soon, fellow Stalker

Also,

Hey, I know this campaign is full of bullshit and scummy behavior, but he's not saying he will release the game to consoles in the article Ulminati posted. Again with the Codex and lack of research.

Read the article, he says "yeah, technically we could port the game to the consoles because it's the equivalent of a mid-level computer. But we'd rather not bother with that because developing it on PC is awesome and we can push the technology and not be afraid of stepping it down so it can work on current gen shit". Then he mentions the Crysis games and how the first one was made a PC exclusive versus the sequel which lost some of its edge for the sake of it being playable on the consoles.

It seems more like a elegant response saying they're not going to bother with it rather than announcing they will port the game for PS4 and Xbox.

In other words, they could realistically make more money and the only thing keeping them from doing it is having to make some quality compromises. Somehow this response doesn't feel like a "No".

Not just quality compromise, but also apparently it's easier to develop on PC if you're all about pushing the tech as much as possible instead of worrying about limitations. That's what he says.

A comparisson review of X-Rebirth 4.0, Elite and no man's sky would be probably rather funny (for the readers).

I can already give you reviews of all space games in future:

Star Citizent - cinematic experience*2, shat your pants, big grafix, doesn't fucking work day 1 nor day 30, single player campaign also doesn't fucking work because it is always online, Day 55 game launches, first people end single player, was awesome. People start to play persistant world. It is fucking piece of shit, economy is shit, RSI promises updates !, DLC packs for money. Overall game looks like motherfucking Crysis in 2007 but plays like shit and persistant world is broken, nice long campaign in vein of old WC or FS2. 6/10

Elite: Flies like a dream, best ship mechanics ever. To bad there isn't anything to do in that space. 4/10

X-Rebirth 4.0 - They finally fixed all bugs and revisited most of design problems. Still one ship but at least now you can normally build your empire and send your army to conquer space. 7/10

Limit Theory - All around awesome. It combines awesome graphics, superb UI and mod API, X game empire building and innovative research and development system with web of factions and simulation of every single ship. No cockpit view. 9/10. Flying could be beter.

No Mans Sky - Good Zoo simulator, poor game and there isn't anything interesting beside watching same procedural animals over and over and over again.

Enemy Starfighter - Out of nowhere GOTY contender. Mix of space sim and RTS homewordish game. Ton of innovative design and best sound of them all + awesome gameplay. 8/10

Overall winner Limit Theory. And now you can listen to another development video of LT and be amazed how 1 guy raped rest of competition by being awesome:

Ehh ... :?

This is starting to go into shady territory as well. The dev hasn't posted anything on his forum or kickstarter page (or personal pages) in over a month. We're talking about a guy who used to apologize about his monthly update videos being late one or two days and who has over 3600 posts on his forum. People on the forum are starting to look into obituaries and shit.

He also seems like one of those code monkey type of people, heavily passionate about building an engine then stumbling hard when it comes to delivering content. The last updates he had were about redesigning the UI for the nth time.

I'm genuinely sad about whatever's happening with LT and hope the guy can actually pull it through. His kickstarter campaign in general far outclassed most of the shit we've seen in the last 3 years in terms of relations to the backers and output. A little shred of hope in a sea of despair, and even that seems to be gone now :negative:

From what I've read in the forums, a couple of the "insider" members (there's a private subforum for people that pledged a couple of millions) have had contact with him and he said something like "It's going better than what people think". Make of that what you will.

Ehh ...

Nah dude is legit. He did something exactly the same for dev 20 or 19 i don't remember now. Basically his videos should be monthly but he didn't want to show features that are broken so he spend shit load of time more on them to polish them and show people completed feature.

I guess his awol is connected to game achieving beta status and soon release. His game slipped original release window but he has stellar updates every once a while and he does something special compared to rest spacesims.

So this and Elite turned out to be turkeys? Go figure.

In the end it will turn out the only new good space game will be No Man's Sky.

considering NMS is basically "E:D 0.3 casual hipster edition designed specifically for consoles first", the likelihood of that being true is less than Bethesda's next Fallout game being the best Fallout ever

Can I play this on my android smart phone with a vr head set yet?

Just remove a few of the control buttons so the game remains fair for everybody.

w-what? People pay almost 20,000$ for a game? For a stupid game even like Chris Roberts MMO? Everyone who throws so much money to the drain should be put on top of a rocket and shot into the sun.
