Interesting that when you have to put your reputation on the line, the Twitcher isn't so great after all...

Please set Cloaked Figure's post count to zero.

Seriously though, it's too early. At least wait for Jan 1.

why? there are no more rpgs coming out, and the ppl who have not played SoZ yet can vote later.

It takes a little time to put the games you've played into perspective, and give a well thought-out opinion. Well, at least for me.

The Witcher was also released in '07.. Or is it allowed to vote for patches/mods?

I'm Andyman Messiah. I'm above rules and regulations.

But yes, I think the Enhanced Version should count. If only to cover my ass.

RPGs released in 2008 -
Game of the Year: Fallout 3, it's a better RPG than Mass Effect.
Best Visuals: Fallout 3 The world design is better than Biowares empty worlds with static lighting and fading characters.
Best Sound: Mass Effect (PC), better acting than F3 and uh, the music actually seemed to add to the game, not subtract (Inon Zur = shit).
Honorable Mention: Oh look, there goes some tumbleweed. Probably should say SoZ, even though I don't own it yet, as it's the only other RPG I will touch this year, probably.

RPGs of all time -
Best RPG ever: Fallout 1
Runner Up: PST
Third Place: Mask of the Betrayer
Honorable Mention: Arcanum; BG2; Bloodlines; ToEE; Witcher.

Asper do not listen to this dumbfuck, put your vote back.

Annual 'awards' on the Codex aren't based on the calendar date, they include everything since the last time we gave the awards whenever it was.

Anything else is stupid since it means some games (eg, Eschalon, NWN2, Avernum 5, Depths of Peril, etc) would not be able to get any award and that less deserving RPGs win because you arbitrarily excluded the competition.

Hahaha that was what I was going to do, too! I actually stopped playing my de-inventoried version of FO3 because I had discovered Dwarf Fortress! Take that, AAA drivel!
