True. Through-out HL2 and the episodes I quickly grew tired of "We will lock you in a room for 5 mins while other people progress the story without you, but there are no cut-sceens LOLz" mechanic. I never liked online FPSes in the first place, but every game of TF2 I plaed was a long ass stalemate

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
TF2 was pretty fun for a while. Then they conked out a bit by releasing unbalanced class updates, but mostly managed to recover from those... but then they started with the hats, and the game took on a whole different aspect, but in the early days of hats it was still playable and fun.

But they totally and absolutely killed the game when they released the so-called Set Items and opened up the Mann. Co store. And trading. I've never seen an on-line game run into the ground as quickly and effectively as TF2.

The "Meet the X" videos are awesome, however, and fortunately do not require you to own or play the game... yet.

I still enjoy TF2 but I don't take my multiplayer FPS games as serious as a heart attack. I just ignore the online store and if I get certain items from drops while playing so much the better. Is it balanced? Perhaps not, but unless you're playing it pseudo-competitively you really aren't going to notice much of a difference.
