What the hell is PoE Complete Edition?

They ported PoE1 to consoles?

Jesus christ, a lot of design decisions for PoE2 suddenly make sense. Console version 100% confirmed.

Fuck this company. I'm done with Obsidian.

What design decisions are those? Curious, haven't followed what have been said about it.

Nothing big.

Party is down to 4.

Combat is now turn based.

They are shifting focus from combat to writing, they are targeting over 1.2M words.

There'll be max 20 combat encounters in the whole game. Every one of them solvable through dialogue.
And then the game will sell like 10-20k copies on both consoles, and struggle to get above 100k on PC. :M

You used to be Sawyer's biggest fan. What happened? Did Sawyer hurt you?

I have no interest (or ability) in playing a console port of PoE but I'm genuinely curious how a rtwp game with as much micromanagement as PoE could possibly work on consoles.

Me too.

Tablets, I would've understood. But consoles?

25% less HP per injury, wow. Was expecting 5%/10%.

Guess its needed to be 25% to convey the 4th injury will kill you, otherwise might get overlooked.

Okay I feel a little mollified about dropping the health/endurance mechanic: 25% per injury is gonna sting.

Still extremely butthurt about loss of Vancian casting.

PS4 supports KB&Mouse natively. For Xbone you still need an adapter (but MS promises at least KB support this year). Consoles are finally getting out of the stone age.

A console port that requires KB&mouse (formally or in practice) is gonna go down like a lead balloon though.

So, not only do we have to carry camping supplies, but also food for each rest? Isn't that redundant?

Since they give various bonuses, depending on the variety of those bonuses, I don't think so. Especially if they are super-specific like consuming certain foods in rest before an encounter could be helpful. It could cover the pre-buffing aspect from D&D games people like.

It's just a possibility though. If they are just simple +stat bonuses it might be redundant yes.

Could be they're replacing the Survival skill with Food use. Food was meaningless micromanagement outside of PotD. And survival wasn't worth taking because Inn bonuses were *always* better, outside the very beginning of the game before you had more money than you could spend.

Ah, I guess it's optional, but only food removes injuries while resting.
