It's not really an advantage, I was mostly giving it as an example of something more controlled and reliable. These RNG procs kind of make my skin crawl at this point, their usefulness depending on "luck" and you can't really plan around them. There are other ways to add RNG without adding it on top of everything.

Do you get how good that is?
Is it? That's +3 damage/dude (if these things are rounded up) assuming each dude does 50 damage with his unleashed awesome button, to a total of +15. +25 if we are generous and assume each dude unleashes an awesome button for 100 damage. 265 vs 250 or 525 vs 500. And how often do you go into damage values this high?
Nevertheless, feel free to tell me how the 2% drop is going to make any significant difference. If we assume rounding up again, that's gonna be 260 vs 250 or 515 vs 500.
So
Fucking
What
???
This shit is straight up from some MOBA.
RNG is exactly good because it introduces an element of unpredictability. It should exist though not as a foundation but as the environment in which one participates.
If you think it doesn't matter look up how minor adjustments to base stats in a MOBA result in massive (+- 5%) winrate shifts.
massive

also i wasnt aware poe2 worked like a moba and had winrates, human opponents, farming, extended harassing/bleeding, and all the other shits where those incremental bonuses actually stack up and matter long-term
here i was, thinking every fight in poe2 was over in roughly 2 minutes and was about using awesum abilities to blow up enemies controlled by dumbass AI, getting all yer cooldowns (for the lack of a better word) and hp back and moving forward to another encounter
you get to learn something new every day
Yes, that's massive for online games. Do you disagree?
Why would they hit them if they didn't matter?

Nope.
Is poe2 an online game?
Why would they hit them if they didn't matter?
Because they have no idea what the fuck they are doing.
Nobody whined about nerfing OP outlier items, but about the systemic pass showing they didn't think any of this through.
I get whining about the ridiculously easy difficulty upon release.
Whining about the actions they're specifically taking to remedy that is pure 100% retardation. And that includes you @Darth Roxor
then what exactly is the point you are trying to make because i think i got lost somewhere along the way

you are stupid if you think a 2% damage bonus drop is going to remedy the difficulty problems
you are also stupid if you think i'm whining about them trying to fix the difficulty
you wanna fix the difficulty? get rid of empower, tone down a few more awesome buttons, make the enemy ai less stupid, give some enemies some buffs and/or change their encounter compositions
you will not get any of that shit by lowering a damage bonus aura from 5% to 3%

I've been working on this relentlessly for a few weeks. At first it was just going to be a simple replacement of Carnage and maybe a fire skill.
But it turned into transforming into a big freakin dragon and tearing apart enemies with unique skills and abilities.
Enjoy.
Nobody likes being nerfed. In single player games you can easily avoid that by buffing enemies instead, with the same end result but lack of "feeling bad" part of players.
