Some recent comments from Reddit in regards to OW2 article from PC Gamer.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comm.../?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

Government should mandate price caps for video games

https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comm.../?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

And that's why all these fuckin wannabe capitalists in the comments piss me off. Bunch of armchair stockholders talking money like they make it like the parasites they're knuckle-shuffling

And if they really are, they don't have a chair at the table to talk with me
Price controls for video games kek. 100% of people when asked if they would want Overwatch Story Mode would say yes. It's just Left 4 Dead with Disney characters. It should not even be physically possible for a project like that to be cancelled.

Holy shit, I feel bad if I submit a project on time and my client is too stupid to open the attachment. How do you pay an entire team like 30 million dollars annually and after five years they ship NOTHING?

It's even funnier because Overwatch was supposed to be this heartwarming story about how anyone can be a hero.

The symbolic implications of the entire project being cancelled in the last ten minutes of a livestream are hilarious

No idea what went on internally but you can't really argue OW 2 was a project shipped on time. Sure looked like someone forced it out to cut losses.

the funniest part is that they did those for free in before. they're the exact same thing, only now they're locked behind a 15$ paywall (for only 3 missions) meaning that even if you do buy it after a couple of weeks there just won't be anyone playing them anymore. Imagine paying 15 bucks for a dead gamemode

Blizzard selling Overwatch 2 story missions for $15:

https://www.eurogamer.net/blizzard-selling-overwatch-2-story-missions-for-15

Blizzard has laid out more of its plans for Overwatch 2's Invasion update, which is due to arrive this August. This includes a paid-for add-on that includes "permanent access" to three story missions, which will cost $15.
That's $5 per story mission. If the missions are limited to character, and Overwatch currently has 37 characters, that means that there's $185 for them to make per player.

In before TF2 outlives even Overwatch 2.
Last week TF2 did an update that added a map where you score points for your team by killing the other team, picking up buckets of fish, and bringing them to a seal that galumphs (the official wording) across the map towards the sea. This is but one part of the largets update that TF2 got in years.

Overwatch 2 stood no fucking chance.

Some of the DLCs have percentages in the single digits because they simply do not work.

Note that this game currently is on Steam's main banner.

Overwhelmingly negative coming soon:

They probably should've left it on Battle.net lol.

The latest season 5 for CoD MW2 is also overwhelmingly negative.

Quality at Activision-Blizzard has really taken a nose dive, sad to say.

No game has ever deserved a lower score. Cancelling your entire PVE mode and then re-releasing the previous game in the series as its own sequel is straight-up the most insane thing that ever happened in the gaming industry
