French actor for Cutter is sooo much better than the generic english one. Devs are french so...French-speaking Talans. Perfect.
Devs are Belgian, and the German dubbed Cutter was also miles better.

Reddit is shitting all over the visuals but to me they look just right. Not sure if it's the unambiguous summer saturation or the wide FoV.
Who cares about color? He had a military desert warrior tan, but mos def white.is it my impression or Cutter got a lot whiter.
Those are reboots, not remakes.Too often remakes look or play nothing like the originals (Doom,Thi4f etc.).
The game's AI was supposed to be on point. IIRC it was sold as every NPC having a schedule, biological needs, and ulterior motives. You could potentially create rube goldberg chains of events to get your way. Or run and gun, that always works.Decided to give the original a shot in anticipation of the remake.
It already does some things right. NPCs forcefully exit dialogue when someone hostile starts shooting at either one of you while proclaiming they are under attack, and NPCs won't answer you if you ask them about another NPC who's standing right next to you, instead telling you to ask them about it some distance away from the guy. I shouldn't be impressed with things like these that should be a given, but given the current climate of gaming I can't help but be impressed.
The AI is indeed not THAT advanced, but there are a lot of little touches to NPC schedules which makes me like the game more. I saw enemy soldiers training with their firearms on scarecrows, some groups of enemies have regular meetings, riss farmers actually seem to regularly bring the crops to Maar, and enemies will react to dynamite you placed (by observing it like dumbasses instead of getting out of dodge, but it's something). Though the slow projectile speed and low magazine size of your starting pistol might seem silly, it does make the combat not that much of a cakewalk. It's not elegant, but it works. Quicksaving making a noise that attracts nearby enemies should've been included in more stealth games. The game's AI was supposed to be on point. I guess after the Kickstarter failed in 2014, they just continued development regardless - good for them. I hope this is a success, it's a classic.Oh, didn't think it was coming this year.
Visuals, mechanics and some new areas are all the core changes. What are they changing again? Are they leaving the sound and music the same, just resampling them? I hope so. The graphics seem nice, the devs kept the original style.
- The Outcast universe completely redone with modern graphics.
- Combat even more dynamic with new moves: dodges, rolls, sprint and cover system.
- New hidden areas divulging some of the most hotly debated mysteries of Adelpha by the fans of the original game.
