Just the fact that I dislike Elder Scrolls already means I'll not play this most likely, but come on, do they expect me to play ES on a freaking taco. No thank you.

The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey is only available on the N-Gage platform and is being developed by Vir2L Studios and TKO Software Inc. The game is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of 2004.

This means that more people are developing the game than people who would prospectively buy it.

EDIT: Hell, if it weren't for the fact it's dated May 03 and that there's really a place with the name, I'd think it was an April Fool's.

Espoo, Finland

ES Poo = This Elder Scrolls game is going to turn out to be utter shit.

Well, the crappiness of the TES games and the crappiness of the N-Gage are uniquely suited to one another. And in the unlikely event that this gets Bethesda to stop developing for PC, I can only applaud it.

Hah, that's funny.

Just for the record, programming for the N-Gage is a pain.

just curious,

is Bethesda developing a new CRPG these days? the last expansion of Elder scrolls 3 was months(year?) ago. they'll have to get their programmers to work, right?

I never got into Morrowind due to the dull and unresponsive battle and static NPC (someone here described the NPC as static search engin, which i tot was pretty accurate.). I'm hoping they'll come up with EC4 that improves on the 2 points above. they can even reuse the same graphic engin for all i care.

anyway considering some of u knows pretty much about the pc game industry i hope to get some news here.

Looks pretty good for a handheld. NWN was on the cellphones last year, i think. They have to be insane to make it for the n-gage, or Nokia is just paying them alot. They should just wait for the PSP.

Not sure how well it's selling overall, but some guys where I work are really into it. You can run a lot of apps on it, this one guy has utilities like SSH/Telnet (PuTTY) and Opera (the web browser) loaded on his. He has the high-speed data service (I think it's around 128 kbps) for it, so he can get on the net from anywhere. Also has other misc bluetooth devices that tie into it wirelessly. The only problem is it's being marketed as a game device when in reality it's more useful for non-gaming stuff.

Oh yeah, it also seems they are good for mobile porn vids.

Yeah fire, but in the "non-gaming" market they have to compete with the Sony Ericsson P800/P900, which I suspect violate it's ass mercilessly

Nokia are losing a lot of money on the N-Gage last time I checked, their world dominance of cell phones in general seem to have taken a hit as well, so maybe they've just started to make shitty products in general?

Nah, they just forgot to make "middle-end" phones with camera etc.
(middle-end = 200-400€ phones)

Trust me I know. Every damn paper here in Finland has been talking about this :P

Over here in Malaysia, the price for the n-gage dropped to RM800 (which is about 200 dollars) because nobody wanted to buy it. And still, nobody wants to buy it. It looks and feels like a farking taco.

I think I'll just get a Motorola or a Sony Ericsson with the amount of crap Nokia seems to be spewing out these days.

I have a telephone next to my computer. This dynamic duo generally handles all my gaming and communication needs quite nicely.

I think the phone company gave it to us. That or my dad stole it from the office, and he worked at the phone company, so it all comes to the same thing.

Can anyone recommend a replacement phone for a sharp gx10 camera phone. I've had it for over a year. I don't give a toss about games or music I just want a shiny clamshell phone with a high res colour screen that takes shitty low res photos and makes me feel like a big man.
