[Hell Swarm]

Monster hunter stories is a monster catching (hatching) series where you play a generic JRPG hero and stop hunters from destroying the eco system by stealing monster eggs. The combat system uses a rock/paper/scissors format with special techniques relating to others. Making it important to learn enemy patterns and to use monsters with the right counter-type to inflict more damage and avoid being hit so hard. The series started on the 3DS and is now on PC, Switch and mobile platforms. The original has a remake coming out Soon and the 2nd one has a steam release. The series is criminally underrated and deserves more attention. It's quite comfy and fun to befriend monsters you're used to beating senseless.
