Working while you are wealthy enough not to need it, is ridiculous in my opinion.

Traveling the world, fucking strange and exotic women's, eating new and exciting foods, meeting wonderful people who don't know you have money.

World is there to be enjoyed, 99% of humanity doesn't have the means to do that fully, those 1% cucks who have but then spend their time trying to accumulate even more wealth are beyond stupid.
Well, it depends on what one would enjoy, doesn't it?
If I had that money, I'd work on the games of my dreams - I certainly do have the programming skills.

But I would take 2-3 months off each year to do the other things you described. Or mix it up.

He should just donate his body to my brainchild, the "Soylent green for Africa foundation". Not only does he help the niggers, he also ceases to exist, which is a net gain for this shit world.

He needs to invest into having his lower ribs removed and his shlong elongated. Self-felatio - never be bored or lonely again :)
He could affort 10 hookers to be with him 24/7, but I guess it's not what he wants from life.

What he wants from life is...

What could he really have meant by the second part of that sentence? I mean, differences in social status due to income is a thing, but it's not a major barrier to interaction unless he has a deeply-rooted superiority complex that puts people off.

The fact that he just uprooted his life to be alone in an LA mansion leads me to believe that he never had a real social life to begin with. He likely just hung around with colleagues and talked about work and vidya.

I mean, you grow up and drift apart from some people, but there are friends that I will always have. Notch seems to be alone in the world

He's got the kind of money to phone a friend and plan a trip around the fucking world together, but he seems to have no-one to recieve that call

So a Microsoft amount of money won't buy you happiness, but a couple of million will.

There's a reason why Gates and Buffet only leave a couple of million to their kids. Enough to have a cozy start but not enough to spend their entire life in a basement playing Zelda and masturbating.

Playing Zelda is probably the best thing he has done since selling out. Scrap that, it's probably the best thing he's done in his whole life.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
rich people who are suffering because they are rich are idiots, and they clearly never starve and struggle to put food in their plate before.

i remember the 98' asian monetary crisis and it was miserable times in my family. even as a kid then i understand what my parents had to go trough to keep me schooled and fed. these people are just whiny dumb garbage human. with that kind of money and security i would throw away my current job, save alot of money and start the things i love to do.

Yeah, imagine if he had played some actual games before, Minecraft could've actually been one then.

Why are there so many of my country here?
It's very hard to spend a lot of money when you just have a big chunk.
We are built better to spend a millions of dollars if we could get them every week.
Having a billion dollars and then in the future having 700million dollars is the worst feeling ever. It constantly reminds you that your money is not infinite and getting closer to bankruptcy.

That's why its important to invest your money in developing a MMORPG. Even if you waste 300 million as long as you get a return of 50 million its fine. You can spend that 50 million freely because its generated over time.
And making a MMO is like the hight of the indie thug life. You get Super +REP. You go from a luxurious basement dweller billionaire to the highest popular indie developer suave millionaire and all the anita sarkesians will want to ride on your dick.
So invest in a MMO, do it faggot! It's the best idea!(tm)

He doesn't need to spend money even, it's more just that it's so pathetic to be sitting around feeling sorry for yourself in a tacky mansion when you have limitless opportunities.

He could do all sorts of crazy shit and barely make a dent in his fortune. Personally I think my first thought would be food. I'd tour the fucking world eating at the best restaurants available. And fuck seeing the sights because I'll be back motherfuckers

He's just such a pathetic slob that he's got unimaginable wealth and is still a complete loser

Thats why you invest it and live off the profits, or just take a set amount each year. I'm sure a financial advisor of some sort would have suggestions.

Nah. Most investment "advisors" are a scam. You better of doing things personally to something you know.

I wouldn't call them a scam, just not worth it if you had the motivation to keep ur life from imploding on ur own. I think investment advisors are probably good just for the human factor. They try to talk you out of being a complete idiot.

The kind that market to the middle class are generally hucksters, but for the wealthy financial advisors offer a genuine service. You need your investments to grow so that inflation doesn't eat away your fortune, and at the same you need to hedge and diversify so that you don't lose everything if the market crashes. Any idiot can make profitable investments in a growing market, but successfully hedging investmenst require deeper understanding of the economy and is best left to specialists.

True. That's why that thing called "bank" was invented. Put a billion on your account, get a free million every month.

Notch could become a Wikipedian and have something worthwhile to do for the rest of his life. He could buy IGN and tell them what to write so he could use them as a reliable source.
