Battle 23 - Prologue

When you walk into the Rebanada Cave, Alphonse comments that it can't possibly be natural, to which Elrik responds by telling a story.
Apparently, the company passed by an abandoned town on their way to Rebanada.

There was once a man who lived there, but he lost his wife and sister to sickness.
The man was pretty distraught and cursed God for not caring, being a dick, etc.
Then, he took himself into a form of exile, isolating himself from the world he no longer cared for.

Finally, one day, the man went insane, ran screaming from his house, and began killing villagers like a demon.



Luckily, a priest was able to seal him.... in this cave.

Battle 23 - Rebanada Caverns

Enemy Units: Rimmon (???/Unknown), Male Zombie Knight x 2, Zombie Dragon x 2, Ghost x 3

Enemies are Lv. 25, except this cute fella':

One of the Dragon Zombies is also immune to magic - we probably won't be able to banish him...

In this mission we will be leveling-up like motherfuckers, due to enemies being 3-4 levels above us.

He still has not enough MP to become a lich. Good thing: we have one spare Sorcerer's Cup.

I was thinking about attacking Rimmon with a summon, but the accuracy is ~60% even when attacking from behind:

BRO hits 2nd ghost with Atropos, Yeesh KOs him. Fornix heals both of them:

Freyja heals Tits just in case (Rimmon is close and he has high Physical Attack).

I'm not sure about this - I hadn't witnessed anything like this in my 1st playthrough. The main problem is, enemy clerics don't have anti-undead spells equipped...

What happens with healing spells? Are your liches harmed by them as usual RPG tradition? Are the liches subject to the "resurrecting after 3 turns" rule of the undead?

Resurrecting after 3 turns? That would be insane! He has 2 times as much physical resistance as second best in the team (that is 4-5 times more than he had). He is unkillable already.

Checked this in training mode, with Dragonfk & Fornix in opposite teams. Result - 2x no:

Wanted to check this too, but Dragonfk was way too hard to kill: during random encounter enemies were hitting him for 3-5 HP, BRO's Atropos took him ~30 HP.

Even the Reincarnation scroll can not be used by him / on him...

This guy is practically immortal...

It's time to obtain Necromancy spell. This is possible only in Quest Mode, when we win 10000$ in a single battle.
This can be done for the first time in Quest Mode Map #3 - Cave Exploration, in two cases:

• Defeat Leader in 1-3 Turns,
• Defeat All Enemies in 1-9 Turns.

So, Spooky is simply a regular ghost, we could as well Persuade one of the ghosts that we met in the past to receive such unit...

Continuing my never-ending quest to make Clocky a less-sucky unit, I've decided to complete another Quest Mode Battle.

Quest Mode Battle 04 - Batraal Chronology

This map is quite huge, we have to traverse some distance before we reach enemies. Luckily for us, all our soldiers can fly/teleport and enemies decided to move closer, making things even easier.

Vrtra is quite dangerous for a scalefag. His skill can Damage+Stun four units at once:

Fortunately, Tits is as effective as always

At some moment Vrtra stuns both Tits & Fornix. BRO kills him

But he is under heavy fire during enemy turn

Yeesh kills the enemy leader

Dragonfk puts his Purify spell to some use

Enemies concentrate their attacks on Dragonfk, which is not a great idea:

BRO & Yeesh try to kill the hawkman, enemies take their revenge on BRO in their turn

Things just keep getting weirder and weirder...

Battle 24 - Rebanada Caverns 2

Enemy Units: L - Lesser Daemon (Saia), Hawkman x 2, Gorgon x 3, Vrtra x 2

Enemies are Lv. 25, except the leader:

He doesn't look very dangerous.

Too bad that the same can't be said about these three gorgons:

Gorgons are quite dangerous. Their SP-skill can petrify ALL units standing in the direction the gorgon is facing. There is a catch though: units having shields equipped won't be affected.

That's why Fornix equipped a shield. One healer immune to petrify should be enough... Let's go!

All units fly/teleport close to the enemies, BRO & Yeesh attack 1st gorgon

Enemy turn:

1st gorgon attacks BRO, gets CAed

1st vrtra attacks LtGenma, gets CAed too

Two other gorgons and one of the hawkmen use their bows. 2nd hawkman attacks using spear

LtGenma & Freyja attack the hawkman, he survives with 1 HP.
Tits gets a melee kill for a change:

Yeesh tries to kill this overgrown dragon, but misses

Enemy turn:

Vrtra proves that dragons aren't very intelligent by attacking LtGenma and getting his ass killed

Saia attacks BRO.

Saia is a lesser daemon. Lesser Daemons are not as powerful as other daemons and can only use lower level bane spells. He was drawn to Rebanada by the power of the fallen angel, Shaher, and by Rimmon. He loves to fight more than anything else.

Poignant Melody (Angel Knight): Undead will recover HP/MP/SP.

Banish (Angel Knight lvl 15): Sacred prayer that damages foes mentally and banishes the unnatural.

2) If we go to Solea, we will witness another scene between Alphonse and Eleanor:

In our case it's a biowhorian choice actually (FAQ states otherwise). We will end up with an Orb no matter the choice.

With the Snapdragon Scroll that we obtained in previous battle, we can make some more wishes come true!

You probably should have a Giant named Kingcomrade, and then turn him into a sword.

Well, I think KC's sins against the Hivemind aren't (yet) grave enough to grant him an eternity spent as a sword... (And his nick has more than 8 chars)

But I think there is one Codexer, whose name will put an inexpressible fear into enemies hearts...

You know, I'm a bit dissapoint with Angel knights. I mean, why would they have a spell to HEAL THE UNDEAD? I mean, these can regenerate themselves, and when you see angels (specially Solars) you expect them to be ultimate killing machines that can (and will) purify anything that looks vaguely evil, and everyone knows that the undead and reanimated people are inherently evil regardless of how the society reacts to them, like Frankestein (oh wait...)

1)Recruit Saia, snapdragon him, get bane sword which saps morale from adjacent enemies, recruit Lobelia.

2)Recruit Lobelia, snapdragon her, get holy sword which gives morale to adjacent friendlies, recruit Saia.

there are 3 snapdragon scrolls, iirc.
