Armageddon. Chapter 4, Act 1 - The Cauldron
Velvet reaches the WMD:
Her crazy grandpa is operating it:
The blazing columns from above have completely shattered the land...
Grandfather...
So even you have come to bid the world farewell in these final moments. Not even destiny can stop the bloodlines...
Grandfather, please stop...
Another failed attempt at diplomacy:
Valentine shows his incestuous side:
You are the result of my beloved daughter's betrayal!
Do you understand...
Why punish the world?
Of course, he's immune to logical reasoning:
Stand back.
Grandfather!
You resemble her too much...
He goes back on his usual track in no time:
Worry not... I will take everyone along with me...
Armageddon. Chapter 4, Act 2 - The Cauldron
This fight is the most difficult / irritating so far!
Velvet's target is the phozon-gathering thingie (evil eye) at the top of the Cauldron.
But destroying it isn't easy. First - the eye is protected by four mechanical arms.
Three of them use melee attacks (a flail, a saw and a drill) and the 4th one can set you on fire or freeze you (this thing looking like a trumpet).
Velvet starts the battle by using Painkiller and equipping Fireproof Charm. Seconds later she gets hit by some projectiles (the eye shoots them):
She climbs the cauldron (not without some problems).
Your main goal should be hitting the eye, but also trying to destroy the arms (to reduce damage received).
Phozon Burst + regular attacks work well:
Your next goal is to hit the eye hard enough to prevent it from doing this:
Yeah. If the eye gathers enough phozons, it will use its ultimate attack (RIP irrelevant of the HP).
To avoid it, you have to quickly move away from the cauldron. The problem is, since the stage is circular and the minimap isn't working, you can accidentally move 'too far' = 'too close to the cauldron'...
After some retries you should get the 'proper' distance...
Now you have to climb the cauldron again and keep hitting the eye (if you don't, it will keep gathering phozons and shooting projectiles / using the ultimate attack).
When you damage the eye enough, it will get stunned (this makes it invulnerable for a while):
Now the funny thing begins - the cauldron will fully activate - it will stand up from the ground using its 'legs'.
You have to climb it to reach the eye, but this time it's moving - you can be hit by the projectiles shoot by the eye, but also kicked by the legs:
And burned by the steam emitted by the holes in its shell (not pictured).
So - climbing the top is a task in itself. If possible, you should try to avoid climbing the activated (moving) cauldron. It's much easier to climb it when it's stunned (more on this later).
When you finally climb the top, there's a nice surprise waiting for you:
Yeah. All four arms regenerated.
The rest of the fight should go as follows:
1. Climb the cauldron (when it's still stunned and immobile if possible)
2. Destroy the arms (Phozon Burst + regular attacks):
Try not to get killed:
3. Keep hitting the eye to stun it before it uses the ultimate attack:
4. While it's stunned (the cauldron will stop and go back to the initial 'partially-burried' state for a while), climb it back and keep hitting the eye. Make it fast, because when the cauldron stands up, the arms will regenerate:
That's more or less all...
The main problem with this fight is keeping the proper rhythm: climb the cauldron, destroy the arms, stun the eye, repeat.
All this while using potions (Painkiller, Elixir, Unlimited Power) and trying to stay alive.
After a while I've noticed that I'm running out of items (most of Painkillers and Elixirs were gone).
I've decided to use Spirits, which turned out to be a good idea - it's much easier to survive arms' attacks when protected by them.
I was sure that I'm gonna loose all three spirits right away, but to my surprise it wasn't the case:
When you loose all of them:
Shortly after that, Velvet is finally able to close the eye for good:
Armageddon. Chapter 4, Act 3 - The Cauldron
Valentine is impressed:
...
Of course Valentine quickly realizes why she did what she did (you remember what Ingway suggested before he died, don't you?)
The Cauldron is mine. No one can command it.
She passes out.
Fainted, eh?
...
But he's all talk it seems:
So pitiful...
Like myself, your inheritance is a mere shell of its former glory.
The time of your awakening is nigh. Come forth!
And come he does:
Valentine decides to catch a ride:
The crazy king and the (no longer baby-) dragon disappear:
Chapter Four ends!
There's only one thing left:
Yeah. In next episode of this glorious LP...
Will fight:
