From The Annals Of The Black Company. 223/6:
We awoke with a strange vitality, feeling like we could take on the world. Today was the day we would venture into the Temple of Chaos. How it got its name we don't know, what we do know is that it's the lair of the villain that abducted the princess, a former knight called Garland.
What awaits inside the ominous temple ? Why did Garland turn on his own people ? Would we able to do what the whole army of Cornelia couldn't ? I don't know, but we would definitely give it a try, the Black Company always fulfills its contracts. Well, almost always, that is...
As warriors of light, the four youths face a staggering mission and a stormy destiny.
The four Crystals they carried remained a mystery to them... In ages past, those crystals had radiated a dazzling light.

From The Annals Of The Black Company, 223/6 :
We're finally able to leave this damned kingdom since the bridge has given us access to the rest of the continent. Our intel tells us that there is a city to the east, but we've also heard rumors about a witch that resides in a cave to the north.
After a heated discussion, we decided to first try and make contact with the witch, she may be of help with our predicament, since its of a magical nature. It's not going to be an easy trek though. We soon found out that the land is vast and dangerous and the monsters far stronger than those we've faced earlier.

Not to mention that masturbating and building a bridge at the same time, is damn difficult.
From The Annals Of The Black Company, 223/7 :
As fate brought it, we've acquired a ship ! The pirate crew-members proved a bit tough to handle in the beginning, but they soon realized that we're not to be taken lightly. We've now turned them into a disciplined crew and the promise of riches keeps them focused.
We decided to take a route south towards the Elven kingdom. If we can obtain the mystic key from them, we would be able to get our hands on considerable treasure. The journey isn't easy though. The sea is treacherous and full of vicious beasts...
