To me the only JRPG OST that truly capture the feeling of grand adventure is Xenoblade's OST

I know it's a remix compilation and there's some non-RPG music there, but it always takes me back.




Also did Metal Max have the best sprites or does one of the Romancing games get that award?

Yeah, what a great soundtrack, one of my favorite that Frank Klepacki worked on. Can't believe this song was unused.
