Well, as far as I recall Space Hulk was not an rpg and WH40k background is not similar to Metroid's.
Said this I agree in concept they would not be too much dissimilar, but I don't claim a Metroid pen and paper roleplaying game should have Samus as a character, just a lot of Samus looking ones (to make a tongue in cheek comparison, when you play Call of Cthuluh you hardly use any human character written by Lovecraft; non?).

And frankly, the Metroid setting is limited to the various dungeons (okay, space dungeons) that Samus Aran explores in her quest to explode the evil Metroids. We don't even know what kind of world there is outside of there, which would make for a sci-fi RPG, which already exists in numerous forms.

I think you''ll lose something when your playing Metroid in pen and paper rather than on a console. Don't get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with pnp, but Metroid is about running through dark corridors blasting aliens with missles. Its an action game, and wouldn't be the same by rolling dice.

Precisely. It would just be another space RPG. Just go buy some Alternity rulebooks and be done with it.

I agree, but I never say it would be a good rpg, just a possile and in my opinion very standard one.
