Is it time for a new Dark Sun game?

TSR has been dead for over a quarter-century, but almost all its D&D/AD&D products are still out there, as well as various derivatives that include two quality computer games in the Dark Sun setting.

Dark Sun: Shattered Lands is awesome.
2nd favorite setting after Greyhawk.

D&D is so dead at this point that not even a True Resurrection spell will revive it. I hoped it would die with some dignity. It's better to burn out than fade away.

We know it's got a huge fan following and we have standards today that make it extraordinarily hard to be true to the source material and also meet our ethical and inclusion standards
I don't understand this. It's not like they're depicting slavery as a good thing, why would that sort of thing have to meet "ethical and inclusion standards"? It's a fucking fictional setting, just because you use it doesn't mean you endorse and support everything bad about it.

And this part:
"... and its heavy use of slavery as a symbol of oppression would likely need to be updated due to evolving views on how oppressive systems are depicted in games."
What does that mean as well? Updated how? Why? What the fuck does "evolving view" stand for? Did they once support slavery? I mean, what is the actual issue here? I really can't comprehend this type of thinking.
There's a constantly growing list of words that cause people on twitter and university payroll to rabidly attack regardless of context.

The idea that Dark Sun is taboo because there is slavery is ridiculous. FYI, The Realms has slavery. FFS It has the Red Wizards. It has Calimshan which is literal oldskool Arab slavery and genies. Talk about a stereotype. Lol And, a host of other so called 'problematic' shit. Get the fukk off.

Dark Sun is alright, but I always thought it was overrated being so one note, but their reasoning is retartet.
HAD those things.
