Wasteland.
Actually, the Cabot Quest basically is Bethesda's attempt to shit all over New Vegas with the Cabots stating there's an underground alien 'city' in the Mojave desert.

Inb4 it's a giant fucking mothership that breaks through the ground and wipes out Vegas for lulz. I can see it now, a fucking DLC: Fallout: AREA 51.

So that's why Bethesda didn't allow Obsidian to develop DLC in that area during Fallout New Vegas DLC Phase.

They waiting for this moment, to fucking buried Fallout West Coast Lore once for all.

Can't wait for that moment tbh, watching half of their Fallout Fanbase will melt into Rage

It seems there's growing appreciation about Lore in new Fanbase that introduced into Fallout Universe playing New Vegas instead Fallout 3, even when Fallout 4 is released they still playing New Vegas instead Fallout 4 judging by recent Steams Review.

Now if only this new Fanbase to be persuaded/brainwashed into playing Fallout 1 & 2 as well.

The Char based character used the muscle to deal with a random encounter.
More skills used than FO4.
