Depends on the game, actually. 1-3 and BoA: Sliths ain't worth it, Nephilim are kinda useful for a rebel/rouge character. 4-6: there is absolutely no point in having humans, even with Elite Warrior and Divinely Touched. Oh and that article is wrong about Nephils being better pole fighters than Sliths. The 10% HP bonus grows with HP and the poison/acid resistance really helps because a lot of enemies use poison and acid, not to mention the +2 pole bonus and +1 bonus every 8th level.
