LOL I bought New Vegas and it runs like shit (what did they change between F3 and NV to ruin it like that? It's the same engine, amirite?) and if you leave the game it resets all of your quicksaves and autosaves, so make sure you make a real save before you quit.

edit- there is a fix, apparently the big problem is with NPC facial expressions, you have to do ToggleEmotions into the console. at least that's what it says on the steam forums.
