People are bashing MMO's too hard. I remember in early WoW days, the rogue was kind of a thief/assssin where posions and lockpicking had their own profession tree. If you wanted to use Blind, you'd actually have to use a reagent. DDO also had some interactive traps and secrets where a rogue was useful. I see the problem more related to the gameplay (and producers failing to deliver an enviroment suited for the class) than the streamlining and trend towards having all characters DPS.
