So I watched the whole Higurashi series some time ago and loved it. Now VNs piqued my interest and of course I soon stumbled upon the Higurashi games.
But now I wonder: Is it worth playing the games even now or would I just repeat the story without anything still surprising me?

Well unlike umineko, higurashi anime adaption did a good job portraying all the major events that happened.
So the question is are you willing to play a visual novel only for the mediocre filler events?
Also if you never played any vn game before i would not recommend starting with higurashi,it is way too slow.

I personally believe you should just move on to Umineko or play steins gate or some other good visual novels.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I'll start with Umineko then.
