I'm new to cRPG and I've never played Arcanum. For 1.50$ I feel like that's a pretty good gamble to take.
All I hear is that it's one of the classics, does it hold up well today? I'm not that concerned by graphics but does it play well?

It's one of my favourite rpgs, but all the complaints you've heard about the combat being shit are all true.

If you can play FO1/FO2, you can come to grips with Arcanum. Just be sure to read the (awesome) manual.

Not really, the combat is pretty bad. On the whole it's definitely worth playing though and it is actually better than Fallout. Just get it, grab Drog's unofficial patch and play it.

I wouldn't go too crazy with widesceen. Arcanum is like Fallout in that it's not meant to be played at modern high resolution. You can see more of the area you're in, but everything in it becomes so tiny you can barely see it.

1900x1200, for example, is way too big.

depends on which widescreen resolution you use. if you switch from 1024x768 to 1200x768 you will have the exact same zoom, but only without black bars on the sides.

This War of Mine just for 6 bucks, must have, one of the best survival games ever. Plus they've just released full modding tools, it's gonna be grate.

Clicked on the "free" button, and now it says I've claimed the game, though it doesn't seem to show up in my library or cart. Am I missing something?
