Is it just me, or does the FCR mod for W1 and W2 make the combat even shittier?

Haven't tried it for W2, but I thought it was an improvement for the first two thirds or so of W1. Unless you'd rather the combat just end as quickly as possible, of course. I quite liked the fact that you needed to use fast style and yrden for the status ailments they could inflict, and that positioning became important in group fights. Of course by the end of the game it just broke down to an even greater extent than vanilla, and Igni spam was the only recourse, since sequencing through the low damage attacks just took too long.
