They just shipped Civ IV gold to stores today. Planning on finally picking it up, as way back when, I went with GalCiv over plain old Civ. I mean, it was twice as GALACTIC!

Gold includes the warlords expansion, some fruity LOTR-esque posters, the tech tree poster, and a MAKING OF dvd.

This opportunity only comes around once in a lifetime. What are you waiting for?

I'm waiting for a more EXTREME edition with two expanions. Still, it's fucking expensive compared to most other games in Poland.

It's also better compared to most other recently released games, so...
And you can always order it from the UK or something.

How much does the gold edition cost here, just to be curious? Anyway, I think I've seen Warlords for 60 zl (and not 80) in Saturn, but it was some time ago.

Its a guess, since most stores havent gotten their copy, and the civ.com site wont aknowledge its existance, but previous experience says 30-40 bucks.

Then why the fuck is the thread called "Don't buy Civ IV"?
Because a title thread using the negative form have more appeal on the Codex.
We are so negative you know.

Why? The Beyond The Sword expansion is not stand alone so you still need the main game.

I always like Heroes of Might and Magic alot better than Civilizations. It just seemed too tiresome to create an empire from scratch.
