Honestly, after that incident with 5 gem Shroud and Doom Horror trigger, I stopped crafting shit with my Pretender. Sure, 10 Niefel Giants can arguably pwn any Doom Horror. Even Scabiel needs 3 hits to kill a sngle Niefel sacred (he gets severe penalty in Drain 3), but man. You are sorta ballzy, I guess. Really hope your Pretender dies.

It's a somewhat lategame with a powerful Niel that avoided gangbangs, managed to get Illwinter and Astral Corruption up without causing Holy Crusade, and now manages to even fight Agartha (that's functionally ded in Cold3 bar summons) with allies.

This has been over long ago. It's simply delaying the inevitable.

I don't think Doom Horrors can ever decay (they have 10 000 year lifespans), but it was worth a shot, probably. Sometimes AI acts adequate. You know who doesn't? Vanheim.

The reason Niel has allies despite all their success is because some other nations *cough Mictlan and Agartha* did not take interest in an immediate attack on Niefelheim when they could have done it with Lanka.

There was absolutely no reason to wait and by the time AC came up, Lanka already defected to Niefelheim because the other 2 'allies' took Lanka for a fool and did not consider what Lanka's options and incentives were.

I even had forewarning, so I could spend all my gems preemptively.
