My guess is that they decided to add more stuff into it, considering the 95 tier was regarded as the CE box tier. I, at least, was very excited when I found out I'd get the dice and the cards along with it . Specially was looking forward to the dice :/

Can't wait until mine ships! And the gets captures by BR customs and never reaches my hand...

:negative:

How is that working nowadays... I've only got my imported stuff stuck in customs once, and it actually arrived very fast, though i had to pay almost the same price I paid, that was in 2010. Is it worse?
Lately I've been importing only books, and they have no taxes (but take like 45 days)... but once I ordered a figure printed in a 3D printer, it got stuck in customs for 2 months and then ANVISA wanted R$ 200,00 plus a signed documentation to allow "exotic materials" in...
Wouldn't be easier to make 3D printer and then print it?

I know, but that isn't the KS CE. In KS you had to play MUCH more to get the cards or the dice.
Except it is, because the CE was expanded since then, and there is no separate KS CE version anyway.

Are you sure? Is there an announcement somewhere or something? That'd be awesome, I was pondering uh... buying extra copy.

It was mentioned in one of the recent updates (in the video). In addition to all the KS CE boxes, there wll only be a very limited number of them made for retail (3000 in English, for example), but they all will contain the same stuff.

I'm awaiting this game so hard, I think my dick entered a black hole somewhere around Omnicron Persei 8 and is currently bedding some alternate universe female version of myself.

JUNE 20th(Provided there's no delays)

Looks like they delayed it because Steam Summer Sale will start in mid-June. Some games (Unrest, Darkwood Early Access) already postponed their mid-June launch plans.

Who cares about Steam? I'm getting my digital copy at GOG. :obviously: (granted, I'm also getting two steam keys in the box)

I actually need that day off for something else, but it was a fortunate coincidence up until the newest delay.

I'm really not sure where to get it.
I've used GOG for Dragon Commander and frankly, GOG's patching policy sucks for freshly released games.

You can always buy it directly from Larian Vault (which I am still considering myself, but will probably go with GOG after all). They seem to be patching their games fairly quickly there, and there is the least added cost for Larian too with no middle-men.

Oh, I've backed it, but I guess I have to decide on my preferred distribution once it's released.

Actually, you decide on it by logging into your account on Larian Vault - or if you don't have one, by creating one with the same email address which you used to back the game.

Does anyone know if you can play this game in multiplayer with someone who has a digital copy on a different site than you do, for instance one has it on GOG the other on Steam? ForkTong Raze

That would be really disappointing if you can't, but I suppose it'll be possible : I don't see why someone playing on a steam copy wouldn't be able to use the same connection method as people playing one of the drm-free version.
Also, as someone who also got his Dragon Commander copy from gog.com after D:OS kickstarter ended, I'd recommend anyone preferring a drm-free version to get it directly from Larian's vault. Gog patching system is indeed very inconvenient.

All of Larians games thus far are not Steamworks and DRM free even in Steam (ie you can start the game without Steam once downloaded). So I would assume D:OS will not use Steam to handle multiplayer and it shouldn't matter which store you get it from.

Although I think DC on Steam used Steam for the matchmaking process, so there were some limitations to multiplayer between different versions, if I remember correctly.

Well, currently (beta), it does use Steam (and only steam, there 's no direct ip connection or anything) for multiplayer, but I'd guess they have something in mind for non-steam version. The beta also automatically starts steam (you cannot launch the exe alone) but maybe (hopefully) that will change too. (That would allow people to play with their preferred system according to circumstances and coop buddies, regardless of the version they purchased).

So for some reason I have $20 'spare' in my KS thing. Does anyone want a copy of D:OS for $20? I can send them the GOG/Steam key. I don't know how we'd do a secure transaction though, maybe we can use DU as a middleman :troll:

You pledged for alpha and got a refund, since every backers got it anyway ? I thought they would give a lil' somethin' to people who pledged for the beta too, but apparently, not... :(

Bah, whatever, the beta is already awesome, this gonna be a great summer with some new brilliant game. Hasn't happened to me in a long long time... :D

Gog just announced in their conference stream with CD Projeckt Red that they are releasing a DRM free platform called GOG Galaxy that will improve their patching process
