More importantly all the participants in the story are utterly retarded. Must be because NuBlizzshit writers are batshit retarded.
Yeah, the entire plot depends on all the characters having double-digit IQ with a comma between said digits.

To be fair, the writers seem to have been ahead of their time and influenced by the real world because let's face it, that's just how the world is now.

The world was always retarded. The retards have just flooded the gaming market by now. As George Carlin once said, imagine how stupid the average motherfucker is and then realize that about half of the population is even more stupid than that.

I forgot the writing of D3 was so terrible that my reaction of seeing the little prince in the sewers was "Hi Belial". Like how obvious can the twist be? Also was anyone surprised by Adria's betrayal?
Adria's betrayal was foreshadowed ever since Diablo 1. Never trust someone who never drinks.

It's very simple.

You're a Blizzard writer. You need a TWIST! And you're like hmmmmmmmmmm hmmmmmmmmmmm what characters have we not killed off yet. You go through the list. "A - Adria", and then it hits you! Oh! Adria, if you add "B" in front of her name, it's BADria, clearly this can be used as foreshadowing.

You stop going through the list of the still not dead characters and clock in your working hours.

Then you head over to the fridge and drink some breast milk.

Another tough day at the office.

As a man of questionable taste and absolutely no self-respect, I chose to play through the campaign again last week. I absolutely love how at the end of act IV Tyrael, now a mortal man, takes a place on the angelic council not as Justice but as Wisdom... Not only is this apparently fine by the angels (why?), it gets better when, just two months later, his decision directly leads to Malthael getting the black soulstone and using it to kill nine tenths of all humans in the world. Fucking Wisdom. :-D

At least the adventuring mode is still kind of low-brow fun for a few evenings. (And Zoltun Kulle is cool. And right. A real RPG would have allowed me to side with him.)

The story thus far:
  • Malthael's sole purpose is to destroy all demonic essence, but he smashes the black soulstone, releasing all demonic essence. All angels are probably black btw.
In Malthael's defense, it was a desperate act made necessary because he was getting destroyed by the most powerful retard in the Diablo universe (the player).

Actually the entire series' story makes a lot more sense once you recognize (and it was made official by D3 canon) that powerful humans are superior to both angels and demons, and both Hell and Heaven have to tiptoe around the pack of psychotic universe destroying monkeys they created.
