The fun level really depends on who you are playing with, I had a fantastic game where nobody made a move until the very end and was betrayed at the last second, it was tense as hell.

If anyone wants to set up a match I'm all for it.

Don't post links to pirated stuff KTHXBYE

Moron, don't pirate, support independent developers. Introversion went belly up because of scum like you.

He's right.
With one thing: Don't pirate indie software. You don't HAVE to support indies, but if you want an indie game, at least be decent enough not to pirate it. If the price is alright (which it is in most indie cases), that is.

The other thing: Introversion never went "belly up". They went from an own house to a single floor with all workers working in one room. Which is better for development, anyway.
They have/had problems because Multiwinia didn't sell enough. Which was their own fault, as Multiwinia wasn't a very strong title from the beginning. At least not on PC.
MP mod for Darwinia. Not very innovative ;).
I know it was more than that, but is/was perceived like that and that was more than forseeable.

Right about what?

Fact is, 99% of indie games suck. They're mostly pseudoartistic bullshit which exists only to be shown at indie gaming sites, which are all massive mantrain circlejerks of indie faggots.

Supporting indie games "because they're indie" puts you at level of an Applefag who buys new Mac because it has shiny, curvy plastic.

And before you say it: No, Introversion games weren't very good.

I'm on the fence here, do I like Daggerfall and wish to have more games like it? Yes. Shall I give Bethesda money by purchasing Fallout and Oblivion? No.

Likewise with Introversion I do not feel Defcon to be worth my money, HOWEVER I do feel Uplink to be, so do I show my appreciation for Introversion by buying Defcon? No, I do it by buying Uplink.

Emovamp you dumbass, all I'm saying is that you should support what you like - especially if its a small gaming studio, but not because of that. Apparently he doesn't think the game sucks, since he's posting a link to a cracked version.

Introversion always release pretty generous demos too, no need to warez their games.

DefCon is shit. It's one of those casual games that has no gameplay. Place some shit on a map and watch the game play itself for 3 minutes. Then the match ends.

Oh and they have enough insolence to charge money for it.

As for their Uplink. Well I would pay $5 for it. Probably. It sucks too though as it has copy pasta "gameplay" (buy new pc - do same looking quests over and over again - buy new pc - do same looking quests over and over again - repeat) that tends to get very boring very quick.

I have no fucking idea how you came to that conclusion from my post, but here you go: I torrent games that I think have a chance to not suck.

Problem with Uplink was that it was too simple and too easy. You can bounce off whatever the fuck you want(Because everyone knows a bank in Switzerland will gladly proxy you hurrr) which gives you literally days of in-game time to delete your traces, which is banal because lol, rosebud. And you can get Log Deleter v4 just by doing the missions you start with.

Uh...because you flamed a guy for saying that someone should buy an indie game instead of pirating it, and your justification was that 'indie games suxxor LOL'. The fact that you didn't realise that the guy actually liked the game in question, or else he wouldn't have suggested torrenting it, led to the obvious conclusion that you torrent games that you think suck.

The problem with Introversion games is that they have a brilliant concept but not enough actual gameplay material to pull you in longer than a couple of hours. Uplink is a great example of that - concept? Accept missions to hack computers, upgrade your software and your rig, fool around with other people data - great! But missions are all very similar, storyline ends quickly and once you get good at the game there's no challenge anymore.

But if you want something different, give their games a chance and try them out. At least download their demos.

And as to Ambrosia, the escape velocity series are really fun. They've got some great arcade games (Maelstrom, Apeiron, Chiral). Aki Mahjong is sweet but kinda short (you can download a shitload of user-made levels though). And I heard their newest game - Aquaria - is actually quite good in its genre.
