This reminds me of the Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 release...what a fucking disappointment.
More like a tragedy.

dont care about the MP (oh wowzors, modern combat shooter no. 4781, except this time with WoW-like talent trees & grinding !) but the SP is utter shit.

worse AI than 10y old HL-1, worse physics than most shooters 10y ago, incredibly bad railroaded as fuck level design .... only good thing about CoD is the movie-like atmosphere which made me enjoy CoD1 and 2...... with 4 however it just aint fun anymore. heck some of the "bubble-shooting" flash games for kids have more gameplay value than this pos.

i m dead tired of this hollywood shit ruining gaming across all genres ... though the mainstream obviously loves it. here s MGS4 where you spend 80% of the time watching a game instead of playing.... here s CoD4 where you play the 20+ y old whack a mole basics embedded in a warmovie, totally ignoring all the genres advancements since last century like somewhat entertaining AI, using your environment, better level design etc.

fuck this crap and all the assholes who buy it over and over and over....
In all fairness, even Crysis suffered from the movie-game hybrid syndrome. Because the latter part was just reporting to your superiors and talking to certain people. It got railroaded, there wasn't much challenge in what you did, and all that actually happened was a bunch of cinematics and scripted sequences.

This movie-game thing has been pervading the industry since 2002, it seems, and now it's all over it. But people like it, including people here in the Codex and even some hardcore FPS fans who have played better. So people are getting what they want, I suppose.
