eh, reading pcpowerplay article about C&C 4 now and apparently theres not even bases anymore. Just a huge crawler that spawns your units(which respawns when killed) , the designer was comparing it to battlefield.

C&C 4 sounds like its going to be a clusterfuck of explosions and tank spamming.

Then again, world in conflict wasnt that bad.

On the other note: they got some cover up for DRM - "preventing cheating". but but but, how one can actually fight cheating with being online?

No, its not.
Thats why they even dont try hard to justify it, because they know the target audience is going to buy any shit ("cheating"). And thats kinda insulting, but also sad.

Tiberian Sun had awesome atmosphere, and that's pretty hard to achieve in a RTS game.

Tiberian Sun was awesome, fuck the haters.

Yeah it was. The art direction sucked in C&C 3. What happened to my super tech and forty foot tall walking tanks? Pff, EA's clumsy hand waiving for why they had superior tech during the second war only made it worse.

And for those who say Generals was good, try Act of War: Direct Action, which has tons more strategy, is much more realistic, and has a much more interesting story and world then Generals. You can get it real cheap online now a days.
