Basically a unique political strategy game, however a bit dumped down compared to what was promised. It's a neat concept to waste some time on if you're bored, but the game play starts to get repetitive quick due to a lack of depth. I'd say it's worth playing through once just to experience a "new" idea.

I liked it when I bought it after it came out. I never got too far into it, because it was buggy as hell on my system. It's a novel and interesting game, though.

yeah, this thing was a chore. i wanted to like it, and tried to play it for hours. but it is in permanent real time and the clock is always running. you can pause, but you cant do anything while paused.

it took me several days of game time to figure out how to move my guy around the map and have meetings with people, then i couldnt tell what the result of those meetings was.

It shows promise, but has crap controls and crap interface and crap documentation.

it basically has absolutely nothing on Liberal Crime Squad, which is in fucking ASCII but still manages to knock this games socks off in all measureable ways.

I bought it way back in the day but it was bugged to hell. You can end up stuck if you don't keep all your options open(Business, military, and crime?)

A great concept, but the developer bit off more than they could chew. I think the problem is that they spent way too much time with creating the 3d world, and didn't think hard enough how to make a game. They released it with sloppy, inadequate, rushed and untested gameplay mechanics, went bust soon after and could never realize the potential of their idea.

I bought it when it came out. I remember reading a BBC article on it. Apparently the developers wanted to do a lot more with it, but ended up dumbing it down quite a bit.

Basically, you meet with different civic leaders and try to get them on board your party. You try and influence the people into supporting you.

In the end, everything is just a mini game if I recall correctly and you end up watching a lot of scenes you don't have control over.

What's funny is when you send a thug to intimidate someone and he fucking fails to hit them hard enough.
