There are City Builders, Grand Strategy, Turn-Based Tactics/Strategy, MOBAs, RTSs and Real Time Tactics games.
There's Cities: Skylines, but no Sim City 4. There's Starcraft 2, but no Stacraft 1(/Broodwar)...
There's Shadow Tactics, but no Commandos or Desperados...
Shit doesn't even make sense if you take age/release dates into account.

Warhammer Total War 2, Warhammer 40k: Gladius and Age of Wonders 3 are the ones from the list that have the most playtime by me and i really enjoy all 3 and will instant buy any DLC/Sequels. Age of Wonders: Planetfall, the upcomming Expansion/DLC for Gladius and Total War Warhammer 3 are also the 3 games i m most looking forward too.
