i usually think of the codex as this critical place that supports a multi-platform instead of money-schemes like consoles and smartphones but i guess in 2011 who knows

i'll consider voting for dark souls the day i don't have to buy a second set of hardware to play it until then it is with dark souls as a hooker with syfilis it may look good but theres no reason to go there until they get their shit fixed

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I don't have any such platform discriminations. My prefered platform is and always will be PC, but I own all the consoles as well (and am saving for an iPad 3). They're all modded, so playing games on them costs me nothing. A video game's a video game regardles of the nut-and-bolts of the hardware. Just as a good game is a good game regardless of the hardware it's played on.

And where the fuck did you get the idea this was a PC forum? Please don't point me to the 'mission statement' or some such, because it's obviously wrong. Despite DU, Jaesun and whoever else's efforts, there are almost as many threads discussing console and/or non-PC games as there are PC games. The codex is organic, it's user's decide what it's focus is and by the looks of things, PC biggots are rapidly becomming the minority whether you like it or not.

If you were a real gamer, it wouldn't be such an issue for you.

the best iphone games (FFT for example) are fucking ruined by that motherfucker control scheme that doesnt allow any precision

You're right, the place is getting over-run by console players. Maybe some of them are good games but I'm sure many people here don't have consoles and never plan to. There a million websites that cater to console gamers so why not discuss them there? The is one of the last refuges where you can go to talk about PC games, even if most of them are console ports now.

Of course part of the appeal here is the open nature but it would be nice if people would mark their threads with a console only warning. Black Cat threads are obvious ones to avoid because that's most likely what it would be about but I remember reading four pages about Demon Souls before finding out it was console only.

Maybe a seperate section for console lovers would work.

I would prefer to keep the forum mostly PC only as that's why I've been reading it for so many years, but I don't run it. Just wish the console stuff could be taken to any other place but here because you can read that stuff anywhere. Go to gamestop or gamefaqs or IGN or wherever and join the millions of others that care.

The mission statement does say this is a PC game site despite what you want it to be just because you like console games.
