Froggy has superpowers!
The problem with torment is that gameplay is trash, one minute animation for spell, hehe
Hmmm... Just like those japanese games.
So you're saying the Codex is full of degenerates who fap to girls with cat ears?

>83 damageIt's a fucking 9th level spell. It's SUPPOSED to be EPIC.

The thing that sucks is that even if you do that and pick up the barrel, it removes the item from your inventory.Story of a dumb gnome, a tragic tale in three chapters.
It's lackluster even in that department. The selections are far too limited, and if I'm going to waste that kind of time, I better be able to sell the game - which obviously I wouldn't.I treat Solasta as a toolset to create your own campaigns, shitty vanilla campaign is a proof of concept, advertisement for the toolset, nothing else.
This was the same argument people used to make for NWN campaigns. "It's ok that the OC is trash! It's just a toolset!"
Which means that mods are the real main attraction, since 99% of people don't have time for that shit.
So, you're basically paying a company to outsource free content to a bunch of random 15-year-olds online.
I'm sure mod campaigns seemed fantastic to you when you were 12, but to me they seemed like autistic drivel.
Not sure if you're saying that's why it's so low, or if you're saying it can go lower.Saving throws.

Brought to you by,
Yeah, it was mostly trash mobs. Some areas you could just sneak or run through and be fine not fighting anything.Torment didn't have bad combat, it had boring encounter design. The spells, the animations (critical strikes in particular was very satisfying), combat mechanics like backstab, it was all done very well. What sucked is that you had no cool enemies to use any of that stuff on.
And the game is Planescape: Torment.I just say this.
People are actually talking about the game in this thread and is freaking glorious!!

Gameplay != combat.
Combat was indeed trash but exploring around was a thrill and very rewarding. I'd give its *gameplay* a 7.5/10 when accounting for the mediocre combat, which still wasn't half as bad as Arcanum's.
In relation of bg3 of courseAnd the game is Planescape: Torment.I just say this.

It was probably just desperation on their part. Back before the indie boom, we had at least a decade of zero RPG content. Mods for NWN, or else mods for the latest Todd Howard turd, were a lot of what people played or talked about.I won't argue, because as I said I was filtered by NWN vanilla myself. I saw Codexers I consider prestigious, treating Swordflight and shit like a second coming of Jesus, so I assumed some NWN fan modules must be good.
truly desperate timesbought all the Spiderweb Software games I could get my hands on

Purple flame, nuclear space comet arrow, dragon breath - all turn into the equivalent of three or four hits with an axe, if that.
Swordflight is awesome, but it's one of very very few mods that is actually good as a game unto itself, and it's still dragged down by the NWN engine. It's lackluster even in that department. The first, or even second, releases of Vogel's games were decent enough. Geneforge 1 & 2 were a great games that mainly lacked in graphics.truly desperate times
It’s Geneforge 2 for me, what a gem.truly desperate timesbought all the Spiderweb Software games I could get my hands on
Heresy, Spiderweb games with the exception of all the later cashgrab remakes, are prestigious af. Avernum/Exile is one of my favourite games ever, idk I've ever played another title that invoked the same feeling of adventure.
Well, don't forget his occasional cringe blog postsIt's the decades of rehashed content that give him such a bad rep.
