I'm aware I'm not making any great discovery here, but still posting this to contextualize the astarion vs bear scene

I think you're onto something, man.

When I was 11 years old playing Fallout and Baldur's Gate on my home computer, being mesmerized by the art and creativity that was quite clearly poured into those games, and having my imagination being totally enamored by them, I never really realized the actual truth about those games.

I want to thank Larian for finally allowing me to realize my true self and realize those games were really missing something vital to their essence. If only my 11 year old self knew, that all I ever really wanted was to have those games be filled with pornography.

BTW, I never played Fallout with a female character, but didn't Fallout and Fallout 2 have quest reactivity for female PC where the PC would basically whore herself out for lower shop prices or to complete a quest? That's not the same as motion captured sex scenes, but it would have still been outrageous to the parents of an 11 year old, I guess.

Also, a lot of NPC propose you a sexytime. Just because you are pretty woman.

Black Isle and Larian have at last one thing in common - they understand people. And this one, who understand people, understands also life itself.

BG3 is shit for so many other reasons.

Played through EA 3 times.
Some concerns with UI and graphics, but overall had a good experience.
Calling it shit is more of a stretch than Astarion's anus after getting beared.

If they don't dictate the game's tone too much, and it's not too linear, it would be fun.

If they do dictate it too much and it's too linear, like D:OS/2 have been, then some fun can still be had with playing it coop and commenting on its sillyness. Not the most elevated way to spend an evening with someone, but you can't go to the opera every week.

I have no concern about linearity.
I just hope they don't put in too many gimmick fights like the forge one, it's the only thing in EA that I found straight up bad, especially because the way the debuff to hurt it works makes no sense and getting it to actually stop in range of the hammer is annoying.

As far as I can tell, the whole thing has neither the context, nor the delivery required for something to be considered funny. Making people laugh out of sheer embarrassment doesn't qualify as comedic effort, unless you're five or brain damaged.

I suppose it could technically be an elaborate joke at the expense of the deerkin type weirdoes, if the actual, in-game attempt at romancing a druid in bear form ends up in a nuclear level roast of the player attempting it, but we all know Larian won't have the balls to do that.

B. I find sex scenes a bit distasteful in RPGs. If a want to watch porn I'd watch porn. I play RPGs for a cool fantasy adventure. Imagine if Lord of the Rings had a scene of Aragorn raw-dogging Arwen, it would change the vibe a bit wouldn't it?

As far as I know you can build the wall and make the tieflings pay for it but there shouldn't be hot sexo with the Trump-lady. I know though that there are several possible endings for her charachter, depending on both your choices and your willingness to investigate certain behind the scenes stuff that you're not shoehorned into and that you can find out by being attentive and curious. The quest design in this game promises to be good af

Romances are non-issue because they can be ignored. Any retard who cries about this shit outs themselves as degenerate that wants to participate in their chosen degenerate version of romance. The only exception is if someone criticises the concept of romance in RPG:s, this is based and encouraged.

You can't ignore combat systems, like making fundamental changes to how multiclassing work. Especially if higher difficulties are balanced around them.

It's because they agree that this should be part of gaming going forward. But they will be voting for this as GoTY, posting about its combat, while they have their dick in their hand, working on their 5th playthrough (on story mode difficulty), just to make sure they didn't miss out on any further scenes involving animals.

The only way you can draw this conclusion from a post that basically says "I wish all forms of romance was deleted from RPG:s" is if you actually want this to happen. Thanks for proving my point.
