Global #1 top seller on steam.

It will also be the #1 top refunded game come tomorrow.

It's kinda of funny i never payed much attention to mainstream releases so i've only sporadically had to deal with normie hype. The only time i actually paid attention to it is when i noticed people would get piled on for even claiming that Skyrim was a bad game. Youtubers who were critical of the game would literally get review bombed with tons of hateful comments under the video too.

Between Elden Ring, this game and BG3 i think i'm starting to notice the modus operandi here. At first i thought the streamers and youtubers just jumped on the hype to generate traffic to their channels, but i'm now wondering if they aren't the ones actually generating the hype in the first place, instead of simply riding it. When AC6 was first announced, i remember a lot of youtube videos showing up on my feed with hyperbolic and excessively glowing titles that made it seem like this game was the second coming of Christ. I guess normies are just too stupid to realize what is happening and are actually buying into the hype because their "favored" youtube sold it to them.

I even noticed normies in both the BG3 and AC6 steam forums getting conflicted since Starfield is coming out as well and apparently it seems hype cannot handle more than one game. There has to be only one second coming of Christ and they are unable to decided which one it's supposed to be. Fucking NPCs.

A lot of these "content creators" and streamers get invited to these sponsored events that game companies host. BG3 and AC6 have both done this. Starfield did not. BG3 sales skyrocketed after the event that hosted these e-celebs (they are the same people that when given a choice of dialogue options, decided to have a male vampire get fucked by a bear). AC6 hosted three of the biggest FromSoftware youtube personalities for their recent event. The most famous of them did his usual schtick of corny narration and insights. The other two went head to head in some never before seen PvP.

The smaller streamers and youtubers simply mimic these people that they look up to so passionately. Parroting what they do and say, with nary an opinion of their own, so that one day, they too might become rich and get invited to gaming company sponsored soirees. They are roaches. Oppourtunistic and phony. They would cause a used car saleman to blush.

YT and Twitch shills have replaced the gaming "media" and are the de facto new joooooornalists. This has been the case for a very long time, many years in fact.

So yes, they're the ones generating buzz so their idiotic audience can consume new product until newer product comes along, which they will then shill, so on and so forth.

That price is fucking ridiculous, the Japanese always insist that everything in Europe is Germany or everything in America is USA. That said I don't even know people who decide to pay those prices in the rich regions of Europe either. At least it DID come out on PC.

All hype is contrived these days. Every new big game "sets a new standard" (next in queue: Starfield), such amazing times! No it's cope from progresstards wanting to believe things are always getting better/never declining. Never forget when FO3 was greatest game of all time and the old games were outdated trash according to the mainstream...

Only played the starting mission and training, but it's fun. I mean it's shooting shit as a big robot, men only want one thing and it's disgusting.
Performance seemed fine? And it supports 120 FPS. Antialiasing was crappy, but that's every game now.
I'll try getting a hang of the controls next time.

Bamco has been 'grassroots marketing' since Dark Souls 1, you should have seen the reports regarding 'grassroots' marketing companies and the japanese companies that were hiring them, both Bamco and Crapcom were listed. Borderlands is an obvious case of it happening without them admitting that they were doing it.

Performance is good but the graphics are kind of shitty. It looks blurrier than Elden Ring, and the water reflections are so bad that they're distracting.

I despise content creators but the actual game is pretty fun so far? The graphics are fine to me because I'm old, been gaming since dos and still think the ps2/xbox era looks next gen. They probably do suck, don't care.

Its funny, I love mechs/mecha and was super hyped for this for awhile then BG3 came out, played it a little and went back to the originals. Now I've just been playing old rpgs so I'm in a phase where its hard to jump back into faster paced, actiony stuff. It may just be me but it feels awkward transitioning to a different type of game for awhile.

You can finish Dark Souls in less than 10 hours people expecting every game to be 100+ hours need to get a grip i'm the biggest FromSoft bitch around here and Elden Ring actually broke me. Too much fucking game, especially coming at the heels of Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3. I get people wanting to get as much milage they possibly can out of their money but too much is too much and if they have to recycle shit to make the game bigger i'll gladly pay for less as long as quality is consistent.

Anyway, i'll definitely get this one just not sure if i'll get it on release. I usually never do. Did it for Elden Ring but that's because i wanted to catch the online community when it was still fresh instead of coming into it years later like i did with all the other Dark Souls. This game has no multiplayer so i don't have that incentive.
Arent there online arena fights?

It usually cracks me up to hear people complain about graphics these days. I mean, this is my idea of a sci fi game.

Amazing game, nice graphics, really nice performance. Played 2 hours so far and it was a blast.

A lot of casuals dying on the first boss. Took me like two attempts while I settled on a good strategy.

I’m getting 90 FPS on a 3090+i9 12900k with everything maxed out at ultrawide 2K resolution. DLSS would be nice to have but I’m pretty satisfied.
