For those who liked Akira, you might want to check out this film produced by the same author as the aformentioned anime, you might like it though I personally feel mixed about it:

Fun fact: This anime here is quite beloved by a not-so-insignificant number of right-leaning extremists which is quite ironic considering its themes
It's the militaristic aesthetics that attract them, same as with stuff like Killzone or Starship Troopers.

Also peak :obviously: poster for recommending Memories. Cannon Fodder is one of my favorite OVAs.

Starship Troopers.
Good.
It was made to parody the book because people hated the idea that it was a right-wing book. The director didn't even read the book.
Now it has gone full-circle and the movie is loved by the people it was meant to make fun of due to libtards always making the targets of their ridicule seem cool. If it was a direct adaptation of the book, it probably would just be a cult classic or something that not many people remember.

The fact that the commonly accepted Johnny Rico is white, blond haired, and blue-eyed is some top-tier irony.

Reddit created a whole ghoulish subforum celebrating deaths of the anti-vaxxers from coronavirus . Don't be like them.

"When you're mean to your enemies who want you to die, actively advocate for your death through policy, and will celebrate your death, while you have done nothing to them in return, they win"

Yea, those patron tags don't necessarily mean someone's donated for the Codex upkeep, it's a bit of a misnomer. We'll need to make such statuses more clear for some of the features planned for the future of the Codex.
