Hello,

There was this one game i loved on the C64.. Unfortunately I only remember a bit of the gameplay and setting, it is set in the future (sci-fi)

You ride on a motorcycle on some alien world. Camera is set behind you (outrun style). You evade things and shoot opponents.

After a minute or two, you pull up, and you get to decide if you want to go left or right.

After doing this numerous times, you arrive / find the base. Then the game turns into a platformer(!)

When U finish, in the end credits, the base gets blown up. (just like Turrican)

I asked about this years ago but got 0 replies. The more time passes by, the more I'm leaning to this being a figment of my imagination - I've been over my disks a couple of times, looked at websites, random screenshots, but nothing. I submit to the hivemind for spiritual release in this matter.

Could it be this game:

Couldn't find a better video. There is the perspective and "left or right?" turning you describe, and the hud says LAZER so I suppose you eventually shoot something there too.
