Anyone interested in starting a Dominions 3 game?

I just reinstalled it and I would really like to play some multiplayer. Anyone interested?

I would be, if you'd be willing to downgrade your version since I'm still a filthy pirate;> Also, PBEM.

I don't mind downgrading, I've got a 3.04 install sitting around just for that.

On another note, I've read that there are key-gens that work for later versions, but I haven't gotten around to testing them.

And PBEM is fine with me.

Yeah, there are. I don't remember which one was it exactly but I think that v3.14 or something was the latest available when I played the game.

I'll install the game and patch it up - in the meantime let's wait for more people to show up. We'd need at least four.

How long does it take to "learn" the game? I never played it before, but if you don't find enough players, I'll jump in.

The basics aren't that difficult to grasp, it's the subtleties that are what makes the game great and what requires effort. Get the game and play it in SP first, get at least the basics before jumping into MP.

Also, how can you say that you want to join an MP game if you don't really know if, you know, you actually like the game? Considering the small number of Dom3 players in these parts we'd have to abandon the whole game if you'd resign after a couple of turns because of lack of interest.

As for liking the game, I heard only good things about it. I like strategy games and board games, I'm willing to try it. I don't have to "love" the game to finish playing one round. Skimmed through the manual, first impressions = good.

I just noticed you insisted on PBEM. If you intend to drag it on by playing turn/day, then I'm out. Average game being 60 to 90 turns long, I will lose interest, no matter the quality of the game. Never mind then. I thought it would be done in a couple sittings at the most. Carry on :salute:
