basically

-pros-
* pretty to watch
* can modify the land with consequences
* sweet ass tsunamis

-cons-
* all you're doing is being a janitor for the land and fixing shit with left click
* tribesman ai routines circa 1995
* task repetition and sameyness

I think these findings seem reasonable because I got over the amazing tech demo visuals by the end of the review. If there's no substantial mechanic foreground to back this shit up your terrain engine is worthless and should have been used for a 3D sand game where you build your stuff and perhaps spawn tribesmen in real time to see how they survive.

Maybe they will make a proper game in an expansion or sequel. Or perhaps if it's mod friendly someone might do something cool with it.
