  1. KickStarter Underworld Ascendant Pre-Prototype Thread

Yours and 10000 other people with exactly the same thought as you. Sure won't make difference. Classic fallacy. Just say you are cheap.
  2. KickStarter Underworld Ascendant Pre-Prototype Thread

Immersive sims never really took over as a genre. It's kinda description of LGS games and they are all very different. There is no strong definitions of them, it's all diluted. Thief is a stealth game, SS1 is a shooter, UU is an RPG. You can't rely on whole thief fanbase jumping on the...
  3. KickStarter Underworld Ascendant Pre-Prototype Thread

Yeah, remember that humongous PR hit Larian got when they dropped Mega Dungeon, NPC Schedules and Day and Night Cycle. Now everybody and their dogs are saying that Original Sin's kickstarter was the worst! They bearly sold any copies of the game as a result! I don't think Otherside would want...
  4. Interview Underworld Ascendant Kickstarter Update #4: Concept Artists, Warren Spector, Paul Neurath Interviews

Actually current graphics are made out of some openly available assets pack from Unity Store or something. They are placeholders. Otherside is saying that they are trying to iron out the gameplay before they will start making real graphics.

Just saw fireball destroying line bridge. That's it, I'm bought!
  6. Divinity Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition

Orc is just too big to get out. He says it himself. You can teleport him out and he will say his thanks, I think there was some exp for that too.
  7. Game News Divinity: Original Sin released on GOG

For couple of years ebooks are just plain superior format. Coupled with proper reader. Navigation, storage, comfort. All in favour of ebooks.
  8. Divinity Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition

Maybe personality scores influence speech checks? One of my chars is goody two shoes and despite constant charisma (2-3) her charm seems to be getting better and better. I've got up to something like 8:3. Would make sense in the coop. When you stick with you persona closer then you have better...
  9. Game News Divinity: Original Sin Kickstarter Update #7: Stretchgoals, Music Preview

Just googled through AoW3 forums and It looks like he is. I am not to happy about that tbh. Didn't really care about music in Overlord and I expect It would be very similar in AoW3. I would prefer him doing some ambient techno once more - his input in Unreal Tournament was amazing.
  10. Divinity: Original Sin Pre-Release Thread

NPC schedules made exploring Korinis in Gothic 2 so much more interesting. Not only you had to explore space but also time. There is a locked guard tower that requires a key to open, the key is in the pocket of the guard siting whole day in that very tower. It's so awesome to find out that you...
  11. Divinity: Original Sin Pre-Release Thread

Intelligence and Perception influence that amount of info you'll get about monster (stats, resists etc.). Neat. Also some C&C example at 16:45.
  12. Divinity: Original Sin Pre-Release Thread

Yeah, but I see that as a little problematic. I think it would be better if joining the combat would be done before actual spell resolved, e.g. player hits the button to cast fireball and instead executing his desired action he joins combat waiting for his turn. Otherwise I think it would be...
  13. Divinity: Original Sin Pre-Release Thread

I think that's ok, even if that means that other player can cross the whole map to get to you while you are still in the 1st turn. The problem I see is when the out-of-combat player tries to cast some buff spells or cast fireball. Thought it could be easily fixed by instant enter combat mode...
  14. Divinity: Original Sin Pre-Release Thread

Hmm, how does these "flee" mechanics work exactly? Any repercussions? Or is it still WIP?
  15. Divinity: Original Sin Pre-Release Thread

Why not? It's just a video game. The system is abstraction, it doesn't include the part about one character convincing another, it's just the last resort. And even you want to be a tight ass and don't want to act out of the game you still need to understand that there is more interaction...
