  1. New WoW race: Draenei

hehehe, warcraft 1 and dune 2 weere the only rts games I could ever stomach finishing, everything else has just been the same old repetition from them oldies. as for the subject matter I don't think I'm gonna run a gentle blue giant, stick with my human warrior and slowly get her up to 60...
  2. Auto Assault flopped

I suppose but it just seems a big investment both in time and money, for example wow is 100 dollars off the start unless you register for credit card withdrawl($50 for game + $30 game card +taxes) and most other mmorpgs would have similar starting costs I'd assume. 2nd is the time factor. You...
  3. Auto Assault flopped

Why would anyone play more than one mmo? It strikes me that most people wouldn't have the time or money for that sort of thing, but I could be wrong, as I tend to obsess on one single game until I'm done with it
  4. Just got Fallout

Better deal?, small frame gives you an extra agility point, meaning that if i really was going to take two points out of str, I could then put that 2nd point somewhere else important, like intelligence or perception. I also undersatnd you saying that if you put enough skill points into my guns...
  5. Just got Fallout

since when does small frame give -2 str?, it only reduces carry weight from 25xStr to 15xstr and throws you an extra AG point. Str is important for melee + hand to hand characters, both of which you can get very good weapons with if you look, including a certain one in fallout one that can be...
  6. Bethsoft ripped the persuasion minigame off of...

Heh, drugs suck, but are lots of fun. Of course now I'm 27 and working in a call centre, but yeah someday I'll finish my degree...
  7. Temple of Elemental Evil question

Flee from combat's alright, it actually can also help you avoid pesky dungeon trekking, just hit flee from combat and it takes you back to the dungeon level you originally enetred the current map from, if i remember right, you don't actually have to be in combat to use it
  8. Temple of Elemental Evil question

If you're in a dungeon level, like the moathouse, you can try using the flee from combat move option, which should take you back to the level you were in prior to entering the current level. I have personally used that myself and it works. However, If you're in an "outdoor" map like Emridy...
  9. Is there any game that you guys DON'T hate?

Heh,nothing as fun as stating the obvious is there. However the general trend here is to like games stated above, perhaps I should also have included other indy games on which the codex team tends to ooh and aah about(not that these games don't deserve such oohing and aahings, and many could...
  10. So what's up with those 50+ lurkers?

I read the news mostly, don't like making the time or effort to actually post and stuff, and besides I've let my brain atrophy for so long that long winded arguments tire me out and make my mind hurt ;)
  11. Is there any game that you guys DON'T hate?

They like Fallout, some Spiderweb Games and those godawful roguelikes...at least as far as I can tell.
  12. old wasteland

looks like you may have gotten the paragraphs already but this is the best wasteland site on the web ever, it also has downloadable maps of some of the areas, as well as tips and tricks http://wasteland.rockdud.net/wasteland.html
  13. Development Info Obsidian's Third Game

Actually, most of them are still there, they just changed the names of them, I suppose some of the major changes are with the setting, but also particularly with the rules system(It's now Vampire: The Requiem, Instead of Vampire: the Masquerade). Generation, which was a big regulator to you're...
  14. Development Info Obsidian's Third Game

Actually no they didn't, they just rewrote all the rules and are just releasing new editions. Sort of the same thing when WOTC took 2nd ed D&D and rewrote it into the D20 system.
  15. Company News Is Troika Dead?

Haven't posted in a while but this brings me out the woodwork. Arcanum was super fun, and huge. ToEE was a blast of a dungeon crawl. Haven't had a chance at Bloodlines yet but all my friends who have it think it's awesome. It's a sad day to see a company that puts out decent(perhaps not stellar...
