  1. Arcanum: Best of

It's pretty neat that your race affects some of your dialogue options, but not NPC reactions, mind you- that's purely BE+reaction modifier. I've once played through arcanum as a Half-orc diplomat, good shit.
  2. F.3.A.R. v.s. Thi4f

And now everything makes perfect sense.
  3. Let's play Arcanum, old chaps.

Tech fucking SUCKS for the first playthrough, just play a melee warrior, maybe with some magic. My opinion might be a bit biased though, because I am so fucking pissed at the Gunsmithy discipline, fuckin' Troika :?
  4. Anybody else hates playing mage classes?

Guess I was just real curious how Arcanum would play out with a mage character, which was not the case with other games, plus even if it was just spamming harm, quench life and disintegrate all the time, I somehow didn't find it boring :? However, to state the obvious, magic in Arcanum is...
  5. Anybody else hates playing mage classes?

I've tried playing a mage in quite a few games, never got too far tho, I simply found it boring. The only exception is Arcanum, through most of which I have managed to play as a mage, excelling in Necromantic Black and Force colleges. It was pretty OK, at least compared to piss poor and...
  6. Valve: "Let's screw our customers over once more!"

FUCKING EPISODE THREE, GABE NEWELL IS SUCH A FAT FUCK! When his pager goes off, people think it's a sound that a goddamned truck makes while it's backin' up :rpgcodex: Seriously tho, how long can you wait for a fucking episodic content? It was supposed to be released on a regular basis.
  7. Can a RPG be scary?

Morrowind scared the fuck outta me when I first played, dark caves, ash vampires, all that shit. Seems kinda funny now :smug:
  8. Let's survive the Clock Tower... (100% Complete)

So, back on topic, are we fuckin' there yet?
  9. America, fuck yeah! (Just Cause 2 demo)

Jesus, are you fuckin' kidding me? :codexrage:
  10. Your dream RPG

Arcanum 2, it should have more balanced combat, more diplomacy-related quests, better tech and ofc more phat l00t. And Virgil. Guess that's never gonna happen, huh? :rage:
  11. So I've been playing Dragon Age...

You cannot play a Half-orc in Dragon Age, so BG2>DA, although I never played BG2 for a longer time. Seriously, what the fuck? No universally scorned and hated half-breed races? :codexrage:
  12. Let's play System Shock 2 in PUSSY-Mode! (Completed)

Someone should just LP System Shock 2, I've never had the nerve to get past that fucking Command Deck Doubt this guy ever will, huh :smug:
  13. First playthrough of Arcanum ever

I've already started playing an intelligent Half-ogre, the game is indeed very enjoyable and the combat seems quite easy, although unsatisfying. I didn't even get past Shrouded Hills for now. Anyway, I have a question regarding alignment- is it much more difficult to play a completely evil...
  14. First playthrough of Arcanum ever

    Easier for the first time?
  15. First playthrough of Arcanum ever

So how much should I put into INT? 6 will suffice?
