Shadow of Mordor doesn't deserve GOTY either, but at least it was a solid action game with an innovative concept that was hampered by its ridiculously easy difficulty. Add a difficulty slider to SoM, and it's good for what it is.

    The Dragon Age: Inquisition Thread

After trying to play this game past the Skyhold section and quitting in disgust half an hour later, I can safely attest to the fact that the multitude of copy-pasted fetch quests and buttfuck else to do in this game is the one and only factor that killed it. You could get past the shallow...

    Deciding Next Title to Play...

Dear Lord, if you want to play these games in a more "strategic" order and save the best for last, then play them in a more "strategic" order and save the best for last.  What's the point of asking for help if your expectations are so subjective and arbitrary, no one can possibly...

    Deciding Next Title to Play...

If you were less of a moron, you'd know that I voted for every single option in that shit poll including kingcomrade, just in protest of Goat Vomit's arbitrary bellyfeels guiding the shortlist selection process. But, oh well, let's poke the guy with the undeserved tag with a stick, maybe he'll...

    Deciding Next Title to Play...

    1. Shadowrun: Dragonfall. Best game on the list, no contest, no reason to start with anything else. 2. Wasteland 2, for sweet nostalgia turned decent RPG. 3. Lords of Xulima. Forget M&M X entirely, it's not worth anyone's time. 4. Underrail (wait for official release).

You're right, the irrelevance of popular opinion polls in general, and Codexian opinion polls in particular, does not consistent any sort of valid argument or even a factoid worthy of anyone's attention. A couple dozen brain-dead lemmings voted crap with their bellyfeels. Hence, there's nothing...

Gothic 1 was more focused and had little to no filler content, like Morrowind's endless pointless caverns with nothing in them. As a result, Gothic's open world felt more interesting to explore on a consistent basis, whereas Morrowind had long stretches of boredom in-between something entrancing.

Perhaps, but it's definitely true that Amalur was supposed to be followed up by an MMO in a minimal amount of time, and the key story element of the first Amalur was supposed to be central for the planned MMO, justifying the player respawn mechanic... which is pretty retarded, I know. Not...

    The Dragon Age: Inquisition Thread

Is there any evidence to support the theory that Dragon Age Inquisition was, in fact, supposed to be an MMO or at least have an extensive multiplayer component (not the limited co-op regime that has nothing to do with the single-player game), but got axed by EA and converted into a single-player...

I think that you either need to enable the testing of magical talent as an in-game procedure (special quest, arena mage duel, complete a project, anything) or failing that simply leave the doors open to the player's discretion. Arbitrary abstraction is worse than everything. There's a weak early...

    Is Bethesda inclined?

Yes, no justification in GAMEPLAY, not CONCEPT, idiot. There's never a point when any of the NPCs actually requires you to demonstrate your magical skills by casting spells or doing anything magic-related in the game. You could have one spell in each magic school that you cast in the corner to...

    Is Bethesda inclined?

Not, not promising. Quite the opposite, actually. The rest of your post is self-evidently false. I win. Great debating techniques from neckbeard shitlords. :troll: You need to first establish that there's something wrong with everything you just stated in the actual game. There isn't, and it...

    Is Bethesda inclined?

You're joking, right? You complained about combat being too easy. I told you "raise difficulty and you'll be playing a much more challenging game". You have nothing in response to that and admitted to playing on easy. Also, the difficulty slider does not affect your HP, it makes enemies attacks...
