Blobbers with good stories and a smaller focus on combat?

You can use freeze life spell while the dragon is under a hole, then run to the level above and jump down the same hole, to end up in a pile of dragon steaks afterwards :).

What makes a good RPG city?

Khorinis from Gothic 2. I think it fulfills all the criteria in OT quite handily - it´s of modest size (but for once the size actually makes sense given the setting, so it shouldn´t bother people who for whatever reason like stuff like this to be "realistic") which makes repeated running...

Gothic II: NotR - requesting build advice

I´d recommend unlocking the expansion area because AFAIR you can learn ice lance spell right afterwards, however I´d also recommend postponing the rest of the expansion content till as late as possible - along with the game´s first two chapters the expansion is IMO the best content there is in...

    From Software Dark Souls 3

Equipping a dagger or another weapon with the same WA and using quickstep seems to be the fastest way to move through the swamp. (quickstep still works when out of focus points, but without the benefit of i-frames)

From Software The Dark Souls II Megathread™

No. The new special phantom can invade there (can invade in a lot of vanilla locations too) and I think they´ve closed a certain material farming route in Sunken (by removing an ascetic) and that´s probably it. One notable difference is that the keys unlocking the areas now have to be found...

From Software Bloodborne. Discuss or die!

I´d been watching the above maniacal endless stream on and off and, even when taking into account differences between backseat gaming and actually playing and likeliness of being a bit biased because I don´t have PS4, at least the PvE portion of the game seemed surprisingly underwhelming to me...

From Software The Dark Souls II Megathread™

This is a bit incorrect, someone got the exact values with the help of cheat engine and these were the results: I think the most interesting is the big jump between base agility and the next tier, probably the core behind most of the early complaints about hitboxes. It corroborates well my...

From Software Dark Souls II poll

I´d agree on Four Kings being something DS2 doesn´t really have a true equivalent of, but it´s also the only such example I can think of. The encounter is rather specific in that it´s strongly designed as DPS race where lack of good or upgraded equipment makes a huge difference (a questionable...

From Software Dark Souls II poll

But this example is kinda all there is - Undead Burg/Parish and the available routes connecting it to Blighttown is pretty much the whole of DS1´s interconnectedness, at least from the perspective of how it affects routing (visual connections don´t). There´s also the Lost Izalith shortcut and...

From Software Dark Souls II poll

Voted better than the original. In its vanilla state I´ve found the game slightly worse than DS1, because the various improvements it brought to the table were not quite enough to make up for its relative lack of coherency and the linear last third, but I consider the current "full package"...

From Software The Dark Souls II Megathread™

Around 25 minutes of SotFS gameplay (Heide´s + Wharf): The changes seem pretty cool in these two areas. Apparently they´ve also added new friendly phantoms as additional co-op support (that "I won´t bite" gesture before casting heal was a nice touch).
