Resident Evil Revelations

Verdict: best "RE" game since... RE0 at least (which I prefer over RE:CV, not to mention shit like RE4 and beyond - fuck the haters).
Too bad it's capcomed in later parts (level of derp increases the longer you play).
Anyway, bonus points for:

1) Reuniting old friends:

2) DAT ASSes:

It's ~7 hours:

With 4-5 of them being p. fun. For Capcom, it's quite an achievement.

This looks exactly like a game I used to play like ten years ago but had completely forgotten about. Talk about jogging the memory.
STUN Runner? I bitched about that too.

Edit: Although I guess that's... Uh... Not 10 years ago now. Fug.

Never even heard of that game. Seems like there's a whole genre of these things. When I was a kid we had one of those CDs with 1001 games or whatever, and one of them was a really good racing game where you 'flew' down a series of blocks, having to bounce over gaps, duck into tunnels, etc. Poor Homie Cloaked was great - looked a lot like STUN Runner, actually, just without the loops. The other game was more recent and 3D. I only played the demo of Homeless Homie Easily-seen, but Wealthy Homie Reebok looked almost identical to those images above.

Edit, here we go:

The video now makes me want to vomit.

Decided to finally give Messiah a try. RIP, Shiny. Win7 x64.

D3D kinda works (after a lot of fiddling), but only in 640x480 (no matter what value you set in options):

Thank god the game has Glide support, so after installing nGlide, I got this (1280x960):

And finally, this (1280x960 internal / ingame, 1680x1050 external / in nGlide):

Pixel hunting is the main feature of the game. If you don't start raging in your room when you need one ingredient to complete the spell, you're playing it wrong.

Second hint for those who want to try playing the game. Other than that I've found all the plants and other things to brew the spells.

Maze garden goblins. Only spells can kill them. Finally found their nest.

Arboreal, daytime scenes are definitely this game's strong suit. Remember that Crysis was actually the true successor to FarCry, visually and structurally, which is now just Ubisoft Game.
