Thief Gold via GoG, which is the version I have, and it seems they added sthe NewDark patch. I'm no expert when it comes to mods and that kind of stuff but it works great for me.

You could at least take out the treasure pixel hunting if you are gonna put the play area inside an Ultima Underworld sized viewport and zoom way out from the old tile graphics

Only 0.89 euro. It plays like a old-school RTS game but with some nice rpg-elements and a story that is actually pretty good. Kinda reminds me of Jagged Alliance 2 with the over the top 80's action movie feeling.
